ASUS and Google have created a tablet that is outstanding in terms of bang for the buck. The tablet is made of high-quality components, even if they're not top-of-the-line, and the number of connectors will probably disappoint some potential buyers. The main selling point is the new operating system, and we were duly impressed by the implementation of Jelly Bean.

Workstations and business related products are not normally what we cover here at ThinkComputers. We are more consumer and enthusiast based, but our friends at Lenovo asked us if we would take a look at their latest workstation system the ThinkStation S30. We decided why not since we never cover things like this and who knows many some of you reading this review might pick up a few of these for your office. The ThinkStation S30 we are taking a look at today features an Intel Xeon E5-1620 Sandy Bridge processor, NVIDIA Quadro 2000 graphics, 8GB of DDR3-1333 memory, and two Seagate 500GB 7200 RPM drives in a RAID 0 setup. Let’s see what the S30 is all about!

If you need outstanding performance on the 802.11n standard and you aren't at all interested in 802.11ac, then we would recommend saving some money and buying the RT-N66U instead of the new RT-AC66U. ASUS has proven that the hardware works, just not always to its full potential. The performance of the RT-AC66U on 802.11n is good, but not quite on the level of the RT-N66U. If you do already want an 802.11ac router and also take advantage of the best performance, then based on our tests the best option is to buy an ASUS RT-AC66U and a Netgear R6300 as bridge.

Skype is an extremely useful and indeed cost saving application, but a disadvantage of this particular method of communication is its requirement to sit at a computer, which does get old after a while. Logitech recently introduced its TV Cam HD, which allows you to video call while just sitting on your couch. While there are television sets with built-in webcam and Skype app, the TV Cam HD has been designed to work with any set with an HDMI port.

ASUS pulled out all the stops for this system. Its imposing look matches the impressive hardware inside. And then there is the special 'speed' button on top of the chassis. Press that, and the case literally starts moving. Sides will open up, fans will appear, blue lights turn red, and all that's missing is that trademark Transformer sound. The computer then also engages a turbo mode. It's a sight to behold.
