Photographers need a certain level of professionalism in all aspects of their work, so, if you work from home, choosing the right printer is key. The Epson Stylus Photo PX830FWD printer is one of Epson’s most recent six-colour home inkjet printers and is aimed at photographers. It boasts a wide range of features including WiFi, an SD card reader and even a CD drive. However, with a relatively high price tag of around £200, is it worth it? Let’s take a closer look.

The DXG USA DXG-595V is a good entry level camera that offers some desired features for those looking for "point and shoot" simplicity. For a low cost camera, I was very pleased with the performance. It is extremely easy to use and produces decent video for the price. The still images it produces are good under optimal lighting, and can be taken at up to 5.0 megapixels.

This year AMD’s Fusion low cost platform has hit the spotlight, offering hardware accelerated performance with miniscule power demands and heat output. While this will suit many people, some of the enthusiast audience will want to spend more money and aim higher up the food chain. While it may be difficult to get excited over a thermal paste, especially when there is a seeming myriad of different brands and types available, it is a necessary and often overlooked commodity. Cooler Master's new ThermalFusion 400 arrived in this plastic blister pack, unusual packaging for thermal paste. Included with the paste is an applicator, the first I've ever seen included with any brand interface material. This is a welcome addition, as it is common for thermal paste makers to give instruction to spread the product around without actually touching it or the surfaces to be covered. The thermal paste itself is in the typical syringe type container with plunger to control the amount of product released.

The Dell Precision M6700 is more than an amazing laptop, with really only one drawback. That's the weight. 4.1 kg is heavy, no matter how you look at it. This is a laptop that will make any hardware enthusiast, or probably anyone that can appreciate a good piece of engineering, really happy. Particularly the configuration that we received from Dell, but even the less extreme versions are commendable. That's because you get a myriad of expansion options, including four memory slots and room for four disks.

Today we are looking at the latest Edge VS8 Mini PC from Sapphire, the follow up to the Edge HD3 which we reviewed earlier this year. The new Edge VS8 is based around an AMD Quad Core A8 1.6ghz APU with onboard HD7600G graphics. Our review sample ships with a large 500GB hard drive and 4GB of DDR3 memory. Is this an ideal solution to as a diminutive ‘general use’ PC when paired up with a High Definition Television set?

Today for review I’ve got the Unitek 2 Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card supplied by BrandoUSB. I took a look at one last week, it was a no-name or generic card and the speeds were decent, or at least they seemed that way as I didn’t have anything to compare it to. In this review today I’ll be comparing that no-name brand to the Unitek one I have today to see if there’s any difference between a name brand card and a generic one.

Making a household look like someone is home at all times can significantly decrease the chance of being robbed. This is where today’s review item can be a great burglary deterrent. FakeTV from Opto-Electronic Design, Inc gives the effect that someone is home watching TV. It uses multi-color LED to mimic the light emissions of a 27” LCD HDTV. Plus all this is done with an environmentally friendly device which according to the manufacturer draws less power than a night light.
