Coming to us from the frozen north of Scandinavia is a product from Fractal Design. The Adjust 108 is a 6 channel fan controller from this award winning Swedish company. The minimalistic controller looks great on paper, but how does it perform? Follow along as we test this controller and see if it’s up to par.

Fractal Design brings simplicity and style together with the Adjust 108 fan controller. This accessory has a beautiful brushed aluminum face and 6 individual slider controls. Each fan channel can power up to 36 watts of enthusiast level performance. The only component of a pc that creates any substantial noise at full capacity is the fans, and eventually it becomes the next thing on the list to find a solution for. Benchmark Reviews will examine the Adjust 108 model FD-FC-ADJ-108-BL for quality, performance, and how capable it is of toning down the white noise from fans during the times when its least desired or needed.

Today I’m going to be testing Foxconn’s latest AMD Fusion Nettop. This kind of product is right up Foxconn’s street and I am looking forward to seeing how it pans out. Based on the AMD Fusion platform the Nettop is a low power consumption computer with many uses. I will be finding out whether it’s worth its price and whether it would be usable for day to day use.

The NetBox-nT330i barebone from Foxconn is an interesting product for those that need a very small media center PC, which can be also used for office applications or browsing the internet; its performance varies depending on what 2.5inch HDD/SSD and DRAM you decide to use with it.

The nT-A3500 is a perfect machine for instant messaging or other social networking applications, browsing or for playing older games at smaller resolutions; also, we can use the machine as a media center and it is also shipped with a VESA mount inside the package and necessary screws.

Foxconn has brought us to the table the latest generation of Intel Atom CPUs, by using the small Nano PC chassis which features about the same layout inside as the barebones we have tested from them in the past. The system power consumption is very low, temperatures are good in load and the noise generated is decent. Only thing that needs to be fixed to make this product fully functional is the VGA driver which in its current state offers low performance in both 2D and 3D environments, and Intel does not offer any support for x64 OSes.

I’ll admit from the get go I’m not a big sports fan. I don’t go to the pub with the “lads” and drink generic beer and shout at a TV while a band tries to play in the corner. I went through the phase many people do of being interested in football, until I realised that the viewing experience is akin to a very slow game of tennis. Your head pans from the left, all the way to the right, then back to the left again and once in a blue moon someone takes a shot. Seriously when the average points scored per game is less than three, it’s not that exciting.

Despite multiple attempts at amalgamation, talks between the principal backers of Sony and Toshiba had broken down spectacularly and both were working feverishly to bring their products to market first - which was thought to be key to their relative success or failure.
By mid 2006, the first Blu-ray discs had made their way to market, principally from Sony Pictures, including; 50 First Dates, The Fifth Element, Hitch, The House of Flying Daggers, Underworld Evolution, xXx and The Terminator. HD-DVD had beat them to the punch two months earlier by releasing a line-up which included The Last Samurai, Million Dollar Baby, and The Phantom of the Opera, a milestone achieved through that formats initially cheaper manufacturing process and higher yields compared to Blu-ray.

The five all-in-ones in this group test don't all have the same role in mind. Two of them are more business-oriented, two are general all-in-ones, and one is specifically aimed at printing photos. All things considered, there is not one out of the five that is superior in every single department. The Brother has the best build quality, but it's print quality isn't on the level of the others. The Canon and the Dell are the most comprehensive (and include automatic duplex), but they're not as fast or user-friendly. The Epson creates the best photo prints, but its text isn't as sharp as from some of the others, and the build quality is so-so. The Canon Pixma MX515 is our favourite out of the bunch.
