The D-Link DIR-868L is currently one of the fastest routers you can buy. The test results are excellent and the interface responds quickly compared to that of other brands. We really have to try hard to find a downside to this router, and then it's only the USB 3.0 port that doesn't achieve USB 3.0 transfer rates. All things considered, if you want the best performance, the D-Link DIR-868L is a router you want.

This year we have reviewed a number of custom gaming PCs including the Palicomp Alpha Pulse, which we looked at quite recently. This system offered good value for money and was ideal for someone looking for a capable gaming system without spending a ridiculous amount of money. We don’t like to neglect any of our readers at KitGuru, though, so we thought we would take a look at what is available for those of you who do have a large wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket.

Having a small mousepad that you can position close to your keyboard can help with your posture, but of course the Bakker Elkhuizen The Egg isn't a magic bullet that will solve or prevent all of your RSI issues.

When buying a computer system that's pre-built, there's not much you really need to worry about apart from it working as soon as it's plugged in. When building your own however, there's a lot more involved from choosing the right components and importantly keeping it nice and cool.

Sitting at the top of the WD TV line-up is the Live Hub and that's the one we're looking at today. Checking out the box, you can see the device and some of the main features. One of the bigger features is the 1TB hard drive that's embedded into the WD TV Live Hub. On the front of the box we can also see some of the other main features which include support with Blockbuster, Netflix, Pandora, Facebook and YouTube. Unfortunately not all these features are available outside of the US, but the ones that are like YouTube and Facebook work great. We'll get into all that a little later, though.

For the past 10 years or so most newly build houses, office buildings and even some apartment complexes are network-ready meaning they have shielded (most of the times anyways) CAT5/6 Ethernet cables installed in the walls coupled with at least one network plug in each room. This is without doubt the ideal solution for people who want and prefer the speeds offered by Ethernet connectivity over WiFi but unfortunately most houses (including my own) are way older than just 10 years. Powerline adapters have been in the market for many years and are pretty much the best choice for use with older buildings since they use the electrical wiring (power lines) to create a local network. Strangely enough however although this technology allows for much greater speeds than typical WiFi connections (especially over long distances) and also provides a much higher level of security not many consumers actually make use of them (on the other hand Office/Business sales are flourishing). Still our job is to thoroughly test the ones available in the market and so todays review is about the latest PlugLink AV 500Mbps Adapter by Asoka, the PL-9670-Q2.

While routers have never been essential, most people will have at least one in their house, especially with the rapid increase of wireless devices such as laptops, phones, tablets and lots more. Routers allow you to connect to several computers wirelessly or even via ethernet connections, allowing you to create a network with more than one computer. Lots of companies like Virgin Media and other ISPs provide routers with their broadband packages and as such some are installed and never seen again. While this is the simplest solution there are lots of improvements that can be made to a network, for instance, improving wireless coverage, which is where a second router or wireless bridge comes in handy.
