Lately we've been looking at a few different thermal compounds and this time up we're looking at one aimed at the high end user and overclocker so we should be expecting better results than the premium thermal compounds that most consumers buy.

This is the last in our series of thermal compounds that we’ve been looking at, as of late. Last time we looked at the GC-Extreme Thermal Compound which was aimed more at the hardcore overclocker who wanted the best performing results and didn’t mind paying a bit extra for it. This time the GC-2 is aimed more at the general end user and light overclocker. It’s a premium compound offering great properties for an affordable price. If you don’t want to sacrifice quality, but don’t want to spend a lot, then you’ll see how the GC-2 is going to be perfect for you.

I remember when I first discovered thermal compound. I had no idea that working on computers could be as messy a job as changing the oil in an old Nissan. My mentor told me, and I quote, “There is no better paste than this right here.” He said this as he handed me a tube of Arctic Silver and a broken piece of a Big Lots gift card to apply the paste with. He then fell asleep playing his 27th straight hour of Everquest 2 and left me to put the computer we had taken apart back together myself.

A few months ago there was a flurry of activity in the thermal paste marketplace. Gelid updated their product range with GC-2 and Arctic Cooling followed up soon after with their replacement for MX-2, MX-3. At the time we reviewed both pastes and found the MX-3 was a slightly better performer.

Today, we have for review a Geeks.com Mini USB 2.0 LED Projector. This mini-projector is aptly named: it literally fits in the palm of your hand. With a built-in speaker and various input options, it seems like the perfect gadget for showing slideshows or movies in the absence of a TV or suitable monitor. Also, because it's so small, it should be ideal for quick and easy setup.

I have been doing a lot of traveling lately. On thing that I always miss when I am traveling is my 2 large monitors from my home desktop system. Going from them to a laptop screen is not that fun. You can purchase laptops with pull-out screens, but they are few are far between and are quite expensive. So what are you to do if you want a dual-screen setup on your laptop? Get a portable display of course! Today we are talking a look at the On-Lap 1301 Portable Monitor. It is a small, portable 13.3-inch screen that is powered by USB and can be used with any device that has an HDMI or VGA connection. Read on as we check it out!
