Infrared thermometers are useful for both diagnostic and predictive inspection of electrical systems and equipment. Used in electrical maintenance for over 30 years, infrared non-contact thermometers allow you to quickly gather important temperature information. Because electrical currents generate heat, temperature monitoring is an efficient way to predict potential equipment failure.

Do you have really annoyingly bright LEDs on your PC case or cable set top box? Is your digital nightstand clock is overly bright and blinding you at night? Stop using your electrical tape or permanent marker to make these LEDs dim or completely dark! LightDims has a very simple yet genius solution to dim those pesky LEDs down! LightDims are a thin film-like material with an adhesive on the back. Think of them as a sticker-sized “window-like” tint that you can remove at will. You can stick them just about anywhere...

Today I’ve got a brief review for you of a rather small product from Verbatim called the Pocket Card Reader. It’s just like it sounds, it’s a small and portable card reader that you can take with you on the go. Yes it’s a simple and very basic product but these days you need a card reader that can handle many formats and the Pocket Reader can read most everything except compact flash I think. The reader has a built-in USB cable so you won’t have to worry about carrying one with you, and best of all it’s inexpensive at around $15.

Up for review today I’ve got another NZXT product, this time it’s their new Sentry LXE fan controller. It’s like no other out there today I think, this one is actually external, it has a 5” touch screen from which you make adjustments and control your fans. It’s very well made as we’ve come to expect from NZXT, and it’s fairly easy to use.

KitGuru loves a high quality LED backlit screen and with pricing continually dropping they are now firmly in the grasp of the mainstream audience. Unfortunately while LED television screens are normally much better than traditional CCFL models we have found at KitGuru that buying an LED monitor for your computer doesn’t always translate to a significant jump in quality.

Perhaps one the most difficult parts of being an avid reviewer is finding new and innovative devices to review, devices which one simply does not get to see often if at all. Nowadays however innovative ideas become more and more rare since pretty much everything one may think of is already out there being developed or manufactured by one of the countless available manufacturers (that's also why we see the same devices rebranded and sold by two or more different companies). Luckily however innovation has not completely dried out and so every now and then we do get to see something new (sometimes even impressive) and without doubt the latest Lower East Side Audio Dock Air by Audyssey is one such device.

D-Link really has gotten a feel for it this year. We've seen one new product after the other. Earlier we got the flagship model from their standard line of routers called the DIR-857, and now it's apparently time for the 802.11ac router, the DIR-865L. Also known as the Wireless AC 1750 Dual Band Cloud Router, this can be seen as the second D-Link flagship model of this year.
