Overall, the Samsung SyncMaster XL2370 is an excellent premium 1080p monitor for the consumer wanting to pay more to get a top of the line product. The picture quality, color reproduction and contrast alone makes up for the difference in cost and after a weeks worth of use, the money will be deemed a good investment.

In den letzten Monaten haben wir uns immer wieder mit den AMD-APUs der E-Serie auseinandergesetzt. Dabei hatten wir mit dem ASUS E35M1-I Deluxe und dem E45M1-M PRO jeweils die stärksten Modelle der E-Serie im Aufgebot. Dabei haben wir aber stets nur die Mainboards mit verlöteter APU betrachtet. Heute wollen wir uns einmal Komplett-Produkte der Hersteller ansehen. Hin und wieder werden die meisten Modelle auch als Barebones angeboten, das heißt Arbeitsspeicher und Laufwerke können individuell an die eigenen Wünsche angepasst werden. Neben dem Giada A51, einem sogenannten Nettop ohne optisches Laufwerk, befindet sich die ZBOX AD05 Plus von Zotac ebenso im Aufgebot wie der Shuttle XS35GTA V3. Beim letzten Kandidaten handelt es sich um ein Modell mit einem Intel-Atom-Prozessor und dedizierter AMD-Grafik. Zuletzt haben wir uns im Jahre 2008 angesehen, was Intels Stromsparmodelle zu bieten haben. Seither hat sich auch bei dieser Plattform einiges getan.

Today PCSTATS will be reviewing the very top end of the Samsung LCD HDTV family, the 55" Samsung LN55A950D1F. Samsung's A950 series of LCD HDTVs has been designed to be the next step in image fidelity for liquid crystal display technology. These home theatre HD TVs use Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) that can selectively illuminate sections of the screen at a time, which means that they have a wider color gamut and better colour reproduction. They also boast superb black levels, do away with back light bleeding, and offer unbelievable dynamic contrast ratios. The Samsung LN55A950D1F is a 55" 1080p LCD screen that supports both 60 and 120 Hertz refresh rates. Samsung rates the dynamic contrast ratio of its new localized LED back light at an astonishing 2,000,000 to 1, with an overall brightness rating of 500 cd/m2.
Our performance testing showed that we were able to average 642Mbps read and 757Mbps write with the Diamond UE3000 on our particular test setup. The USB 2.0 10/100M network adapter that we've been using for the past year could only averaged 77Mbps read and 93Mbps write, so this is a major performance improvement. We can only hope that if a mobile device doesn't come with an integrated Ethernet port (RJ-45 connector) that a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter will be included in the near future. If not, have no fear as the Diamond UE3000 is now available for purchase...
