Originally released on 15th March 2011, Shogun 2 is the latest in the famous Total War series. Across most of the top sites, this epic was seen as a return-to-form for its developers and it scored over 90% in most tests. But is it as good as it can be? KitGuru managed to get an exclusive 1-on-1 interview with AMD Developer Relations Guru, Nicolas Thibieroz. In part one, we find out more about Shogun 2 as a game and its up-coming patch to DX11.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is one of the most awaited games this year, especially since Tomonobu Itagaki left the Team Ninja roster in a very public manner.
Much like the original Playstation 3 version Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 calls upon the Xbox influences to produce a game which looks to be exciting and dynamic. The core gameplay has not changed dramatically with the bizarre storyline, high octane action and sharp visuals setting the tone.

Mysteries of Westgate was finished a year ago but due to behind the scene issues with DRM protection it has taken a long time to bring the adventure pack to public release. Unfortunately while this was happening Storm Of Zehir was released which featured enhancements not only to the party mechanics but to the engine.

The first Orcs Must Die! title was well received when it came out just nine months ago. With a blend of solid third person tower defense elements and light hearted orc genocide, developers Robot Entertainment made a well formed and cleverly made game that compelled me to spend hours getting that elusive five skull rating on each of its 24 levels. But outside of these maps and the higher ‘nightmare’ difficulty modes, there wasn’t much to the game – there were only a few extra levels available as DLC, no level editor and no cooperative multiplayer. Put simply, there wasn’t much of an end-game.

Ah, I love the smell of a good internet war in the morning. No, there hasn’t been some well deserved internet vigilantism and no there isn’t a middle-eastern coup being livestreamed via Twitter, nothing unimportant like that. No, a new Call of Duty has been released and everyone who’s anyone has said how awful it is. While reviewers have at least let it down gently, suggesting that it’s single player is dull, multiplayer features have been removed and that it’s all getting a bit tiresome, the internet has reacted much harder.

It was originally announced at the 2009 Game Developers Conference and was planned for release that same year with a monthly fee or membership option however by the time OnLive reached the UK it was announced that there would no longer be any subscription fees for the service.
