Today for review I’ve got the fastest phone on the market, the HTC Thunderbolt for Verizon Wireless. Well it’s fast in terms of network speeds since it uses the new 4G network, the phone itself is fast as well with it’s 1Ghz CPU. The Thunderbolt is from HTC so it’s a quality made phone as we’ve come to expect from them. The phone though honestly is rather vanilla, it’s like most other Android phone on the market, yes it’s fast and nicely made but if it wasn’t for the 4G the Thunderbolt wouldn’t really stand out at all in terms of how it works and other features.

The latest and greatest Android tablet is here, the Motorola Xoom that runs the newest version of Android called Honeycomb. The Xoom is a 10.1 inch tablet that comes with dual cameras and even a flash along with the ability to capture 720p videos and play it back over HDMI. This tablet features a dual core 1Ghz processor and 1 gig of ram and 32gig of memory. The Xoom is available right now on the Verizon wireless network for $600 on contract, and it’s well worth the cost.

Sometimes at Testfreaks we get access to prototype versions of upcoming products. Today we will look at one of these prototypes called the Cartella for MacBook Air. This is a new case from Pad&Quill a company which creates hand made bookbindery cases for touch enabled devices. The Cartella is designed to mimic the appearance of Moleskine notebooks (the pen and paper kind), so the design should look rather familiar.
It's always exciting to see a new operating system like the one we found in the HTC Surround, offered in the US by AT&T. This is a Windows Phone running Microsoft's newly developed Windows Phone 7 operating system. Microsoft has positioned its Windows Phone 7 operating system to go head-to-head against Apple's iOS operating system and Google's Android system. The Surround also has some unique hardware features including 16 GB of internal memory and a unique slide out speaker bar that offers "virtual surround" audio processing.
