The Samsung Series 7 Gamer is the most expensive notebook Samsung produces today and it definitely has the hardware to back it up. We take a look at Sony's Xperia Tablet S, the first Sony tablet to enter the TweakTown labs. Has it got what it takes to earn your hard-earned dollars?

So which one out of these three should you get? It's difficult to say. Disregarding the software we would lean towards the HTC 8S, but its relatively high price makes the Lumia 620 more interesting. And should the Huawei Ascend W1 really become available for that low price, then that is also an excellent choice in this segment.

We looked at mid-range smartphones with a resolution of at least 800x480 pixels and a sticker price of no more than 300 euros. Samsung has for a while been at the forefront of introducing cutting-edge software-based innovations into its high-end smartphones. The TouchWiz shell the Korean company developed for Android is becoming increasingly comprehensive. Last year's Galaxy SIII introduced things like Smart stay, Pop Up Video and all kinds of tricks taking advantage of motion and proximity sensors. The Galaxy Note 10.1 added the ability to display two apps next to each other, and the Galaxy Note II came with a preview feature that was activated when you hovered the pen right above the screen. All of these innovations have found their way into the Samsung Galaxy S4, it's almost a best-of collection of what Samsung has developed over the past few years with some new additions.

The Samsung ATIV Book 8 is an impressive piece of work. Thanks to the quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and the AMD Radeon HD 8870M with 2 GB of video memory the performance is excellent. The Full HD PLS screen is also outstanding, even if it's a bit glossy due to the touch layer.

Today for review I’ve got the OLA TV XL which is a dual sim bar style phone that’s fairly basic. The name of the phone is the TV XL, yes it has a TV tuner built right in but sadly it doesn’t work here in the states because we’ve gone digital, but it will work in most other countries. The phone also has an FM radio and a 2.4” color screen along with a .3mp camera. Yes it’s not some amazingly powerful phone, it’s just a basic phone with some other little features thrown in but it costs under $35, and I don’t think that’s too bad for a backup phone or if you’re just looking for a very basic phone… Read one to learn more…
