For the Star Wars fans, Razer has built a themed gaming headset, which is comfortable and has two 50mm drivers built-in. The headset works on USB and its features can be customized by using the Razer Synapse 2.0 unified software. Besides the volume controls, we can also enable software 7.1 surround via the Dolby Pro Logic IIx and can also customize the included EQ.
Remember a few generations ago when civilization thought it had arrived once there were flying cars and lasers all over the place? Well I'm still waiting on my H.P. Hovercraft, but laser technology is so common that it's in just about everything, including computer mice. The use of a laser sensor (or two) is used in the pointing devices for extremely accurate positioning, and tracks on just about every surface. The Razer Salmosa is clearly trying to pack a lot into a small package. Utilizing the same 3G sensor as the DeathAdder, it eschews its bigger cousin's lights and extra buttons, instead delivering the essentials in the smallest practical package. The Razer Salmosa hasn't let me down through the weeks of abuse. The mouse worked flawlessly. The speeds manufactures advertise with which the mouse operates on and how fast it is, it's the same as car manufactures like Ferrari and Porsche keep telling their customers that they made their already fast car even a second faster. Will you actually feel or notice the difference? Does this mean the Salmosa with its optical sensor is less good than infrared sensor powered mice, or laser mice? No not necessarily.
Never mind that it's name is closer to Salmon than any of us care to acknowledge, because for the low price, anyone can have quality gaming gear that won't put you in debt with the bank that is probably getting foreclosed by our government. And Xoxide was kind enough to hook us up with one to see how it stacks up against other noob-level gaming gear on the market today.
