Introducing a plethora of new accessories, it was only a matter of time before Cooler Master created their own line of Storm keyboards. This certainly is not the first time Cooler Master has dipped into keyboards; indeed, their initial endeavors were great, but lacked hype. Exposure was definitely a trait Cooler Master needed to compete in an oversaturated keyboard market, specifically for gamers. Logitech, Microsoft, Razer, SteelSeries, Thermaltake; all have an arsenal of gaming products with mice and keyboards enjoying the most diversity. In order to compete, Cooler Master needed an equalizer, which they found in their Storm series.

The compact mechanical keyboard for gaming? Let's see if this is the real deal.
Peripherals
When we received a tour of Cooler Master’s suite at CES this year, one of the most intriguing showcases were the new keyboards. Previously, Cooler Master was not known as a company dabbling too much into gaming. This time around however, the gaming peripherals and hardware were endless. One of the biggest surprises was the CM Storm Trigger featuring Cherry MX Green switches. The innovation was definitely showing from Cooler Master, and we knew they were serious about gaming hardware. After numerous sponsorships of teams and events, it was time for them to enter the market completely.

Laser mice have been around for several years now and these days most peripheral manufacturers have more than one in their product stable. Today, ASE Labs has the Cooler Master Storm Inferno laser mouse, the second mouse in Cooler Master's Storm series of gaming accessories.

Cooler Master Storm Havoc Gaming Mouse looks great, has LEDs, an Avago 9800 laser sensor capable of 100-8200 DPI, Omron micro switches, 8 programmable buttons, 128KB onboard memory, 1.8 meter braided cable and more. It's designed for a small to medium size hand, comfortable to hold and affordable.
Peripherals
Cooler Master has quietly been chipping away on their new line of products, most notably those multifaceted devices ready for PC and console systems. Computer hardware and accessories are still the main priority, and Cooler Master are always building, always improving on their designs. The new Cooler Master Storm Havoc gaming mouse is the prime example. The best way to describe it is a meld between the Cooler Master Storm Sentinel Advance II and the Cooler Master Storm Recon. Sporting the same 8200 DPI laser sensor as the Advance II and a modified frame of the Recon, we will see if the $54.99 Havoc brings new features and additions to the table.
Peripherals
In our review of CM’s Sentinel Advance II gaming mouse last year, we found it to be a feature-filled product that was also comfortable to use, but it fell short of earning our wholehearted recommendation. This time around, we've got the SA II’s direct replacement, Havoc. Will the new kid on the block surpass its predecessor?
