We recently took a look at Corsair’s latest flagship gaming headset, the Vengeance 1500, which impressed us on a number of levels. The outstanding build quality and good sound quality were a winning combination that helped it achieve our most prestigious ‘Must Have’ award. Corsair offered us a sample of one of the more ‘budget friendly’ headsets in their latest range.

Headsets are all the rage in the gaming market, and recently we have seen a huge spike in the number of 5.1 and even the occasional 7.1 surround sound headset. Some of the headsets claim to offer a virtual 5.1 surround sound and others, like the Tritton PC510 HDa Gaming Headset we reviewed a while back that offer 'True 5.1 surround sound' . The CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Gaming Headset certainly claims to offer the true surround sound experience and for fairly well founded reasons.

Today we take a look at keyboards. We know many people out there are confused with the wide array of keyboards available on the market. You may even be just starting out, buying your first keyboard. Kitguru Lite takes a little look at the history of keyboards, looks at some of the models available and which one YOU should be buying. It really isn’t that difficult!

The trackball, a related pointing device [to the mouse], was invented by Tom Cranston, Fred Longstaff and Kenyon Taylor working on the Royal Canadian Navy's DATAR project in 1952. It used a standard Canadian five-pin bowling ball. It was not patented, as it was a secret military project." (Source: Wikipedia). Is it scary to think that the concept of a computer mouse is almost 50 years old? Back then, it was a very primitive and bulky device; nowadays, it even comes with its own processor. Well, at least the SteelSeries Sensei comes with its own built-in processor, and many other features which I will get into later. As a gamer, the mouse is an absolute critical part of when playing almost any game. In fact, only a select few games can be played without a mouse, and even fewer of them are played competitively. In the click-centric world of PC games, it is obvious that if you want to dominate in games, you will need to have a good mouse, and certainly a good keyboard wouldn't hurt either. The Sensei offers seven mouse buttons, which for many non-gamers might sound absurd, but any serious gamer understands the power of having extra buttons. Looking back, I almost find it funny how I used to think two buttons on a mouse was plenty for my Pentium computer, or even further back, the one button mouse on the Apple II. While the horror of using a one button mouse without a scroll wheel sinks in, let's take a look at the SteelSeries Sensei and its seven buttons.

Today we are going to look at the latest version of the SteelSeries Siberia V2 which is decorated in a unique black and gold colour scheme. The ‘bling’ that this headset possesses is sure to make you stand out from the crowd at gaming events. It is also available in a number of other colours for those who aren’t fond of the black and gold combination.

Today we are going to look at Corsair’s high end gaming mouse, the Vengeance M90 which is designed with MMO gamers in mind. This means it should make the perfect companion to the Vengeance K90 gaming keyboard that we reviewed recently.

I briefly mentioned the adapted sensors, but to add to that, there is also a bit of software to add some really cool functionality to what is already an impressive mouse to use. With the software in action you can create custom game profiles with various bindings to the buttons, you can add macros and you can swap the right and left handed controls because their mice are ambidextrous in design. The sensor itself is made to be more accurate with less DPI/CPI. Where most companies offer 6000+ DPI sensors and a mouse with added weight that feels like pushing a brick, SteelSeries goes for light, lean and accurate to give you the edge in competitive or armature level gaming, for a good price.
Today we are going to be looking at the Kana in the black and orange variation. There is also a white variant, but I do believe it is this black on orange combination that won the Facebook competition for the user's pick of best looking combination. There is a lot that this middle child of the smaller Kinzu, which we will see real soon and the larger Sensei mice. I've taken the pictures, I've played many hours of FPS games and used it daily - stick around and see what I think about the SteelSeries Kana Black 1.1 gaming mouse.
