The P7P55D EVO motherboard from ASUS I am going to test in this review is not the final design, it has some modifications compared to the retail board but the main features are still there. Let’s take a look at the review and see what ASUS has to offer with this P55 platform motherboard.

Today we are going to look at the SteelSeries 5H V2 Medal of Honor gaming headset which is a special edition of their 5H V2 headset that is decorated with Medal of Honor branding. This is sure to be popular with gamers who play Medal of Honor and also with those who want a slightly more exciting looking SteelSeries 5H V2.

We recently took a look at Razer’s first attempt at a mechanical gaming keyboard which left us with mainly positive impressions. Throughout our review we compared it to SteelSeries’ existing mechanical keyboard, the 7G, which has been around for a good few years now and can be found on the desks of serious gamers across the globe.

Have to say, I’m a big fan of the mechanical keyboard. My personal gaming setup has a Steelseries 7G and I use a Zowie Celeritas while working. With that in mind, you can understand why I was looking forward to this review. Once again I get to spend an afternoon playing some games and typing away on another mechanical keyboard, the cut down version of my own 7G, the 6Gv2.

Benchmark Reviews has tested all sorts of gaming peripherals in the past, today we are taking an in depth look at the SteelSeries 6Gv2 mechanical Gaming Keyboard. The 6Gv2 is the little brother of the 7G and does away with some of the unneccesary features of an already basic gaming keyboard and for a good reason too, the 7G is a little on the expensive side. The 6Gv2 does away with the USB hub, the audio ports and the wrist rest. The price is still a little high at $99.99 but it is certainly better than the price of the 7G, essentially the 6Gv2 is a stripped down version so lets see if it's worth your hard earned cash.

For quite some time the gaming keyboard market has concentrated on products which add macro buttons, re-assignments, profiles, USB and audio pass-through and weighted key actions to enhance the gaming experience. In addition to this we see branded products such as the Razer StarCraft 2 gear and SteelSeries Medal of Honor products however few manufacturers have looked to release high quality mechanical keyboards for the gaming masses.

Today I'll be reviewing the SteelSeries 7G - a high end keyboard with a very high end price - around £100. To the average user, £100 for a keyboard seems excessive when you can get an 'el cheapo' one for £10 on the 'Bay, however, enthusiasts and hardcore gamers will know the difference between a £10 mouse and a £50 mouse - let's see if I can see such a distinction between the average budget keyboard I've become used to, and this gaming grade one I've been sent by SteelSeries.

When you are shopping for a gaming keyboard what features are at the forefront of your mind? If you are looking for LED backlit keys, an LCD display or macro keys then you won't find them here. Benchmark Reviews brings you the SteelSeries 7G mechanical Gaming Keyboard. SteelSeries have taken a much different approach to the gaming market with their first mechanical gaming keyboard, by bringing durability and quality in the form of individual 18k gold plated mechanical switches and an inner metal chassis to bring to you one heavyweight keyboard. I can't say for sure if this keyboard is an IBM Model M killer because I dont own one of those, but if this keyboard lasts anywhere near as long as some of those Model M's have lasted then it will be a very worthy investment indeed...

Simply an amazing keyboard! - I was struggling a bit at how to start this and figured why not just cut to the chase? - Once again, the SteelSeries 7G is just an amazing keyboard. Ignoring all the features and just getting stuck into using it, you can't help but feel the quality of the 7G being second to none. Still, we can't ignore those features, so let's not and instead get into what's going on.
