As you are probably aware there are many companies that produce mice. There is a company however that specialises in coolers and chassis. This is of course CoolerMaster. However over the last year they have been developing their range and extending into the peripherals for computers market of which includes mice. We have their latest mouse; the Cooler Master Storm Spawn to review. This is only their third mouse so it will be interesting to see if they have cracked this very competitive market.

Happy New Year everyone! Hold on a minute, wasn't it a month ago that we just celebrated 2011 New Year's? Yes, of course, you are most definitely right. But did you notice that Chinese New Year was just yesterday? Every now and then, people get caught up in the business of work, and time flies past, even when you are not up for it (I am one of such victims to fall in the traps of runaway Toyotas... er, time). It has been almost a month since I have reviewed the Gigabyte Aivia K8100 keyboard, and gosh, does time ever fly! As time continues to roll, many events in our lives change how we live, especially in such a technology driven world. However, some concepts and ideas remain the same, and Thermaltake has proof for you today. Thinking back into the days when mechanical keyboards came out, those were the times of innovation, and it has been quite fascinating to see how much keyboards have changed over the years. Keyboards became more ergonomic and sleek, and many new variants of the good old QWERTY keyboard are made and sold every day. Thermaltake's very own brand of computer gaming peripherals, Tt eSPORTS, has a pretty slick offering under its belt today. The Meka G1 is really a traditional mechanical keyboard, yet it can also be found under the gaming section of peripherals. What is so special that places the Meka G1 in two different peripheral categories at the same time? Is it possible that Thermaltake has revolutionized the traditional mechanical keyboard? Keep reading to find out!

Today we have for review the latest CM Storm weapon of choice, the Spawn gaming mouse. Unlike its predecessors the Sentinel and Inferno, which utilized a more traditional elongated shape, the Spawn offers a wider and rounder claw-like grip. Featuring a high performance 3500 DPI optical sensor with "DPI on-the-fly" buttons, ultra precise step scroll wheel, Omron micro switches for guaranteed five million clicks and 32Kb of onboard memory to store your settings, this is one mouse set to "spawn" your gaming to a new level.

A mouse mat is just a mouse mat after all. It is just a ‘companion’ for a mouse. All I can say is if you are going to buy a companion for a mouse then this is certainly the one to buy. It is smooth, sleek and frankly stunning. In ways I feel it should be hung up more like a painting, than used. It is certainly something to be admired even though it performed well in all tests. If i had to pick one fault with it, it is that it is slightly flimsy, so when you go to move it around it slithers all over the place. However, this is not really a fault, as if it was slightly thicker it would probably tarnish the performance of the mat slightly.

Metadot, the makers of Das Keyboard are well known for their mechanical keyboards. They have kindly sent Testfreaks one of their newer models for review the Model S Ultimate which is a totally blank version of the Professional Model S. Designed for the touch typist in mind, it’s blank key façade will keep most folks away from your workspace when they see the intimidating blank keyboard.

Another day, another gaming mouse. This time it's Coolermaster invading our test labs with their latest peripheral in the Storm range of CM gaming accessories. This one is known as the Spawn, but will it foster a growing sense of, spores, or something... in us? Only one way to find out.

Roccat are a reasonably new entry to the PC peripheral market. The German company is hoping to take on the likes of Logitech and Creative with its modern styling and aggressive games focused marketing. They produce a range of accessories, one of which we will be looking at today, the Roccat Vire "Mobile Communication Gaming Headset" which is described as being "Arguably the lightest gaming headset in the world".
