Today we are going to look at ROCCAT’s latest gaming mouse, the Kova[+] which, as it’s name suggests, is an updated version of their popular Kova mouse. The number of upgrades isn’t huge as ROCCAT haven’t set out to change the mouse completely, just to improve certain aspects of the original mouse.
When I am in front of the computer, I sometimes wonder how many times I have clicked my mouse buttons, and how long they would last down the road. Although in reality, while I doubt it actually matters how many times a mouse has been clicked, it seems like a valid question to me. Okay, who am I kidding? I rarely think of things along this track of thought, but today's review unit has got me thinking about this quite a bit more. Our review unit today comes from Cooler Master, a company renowned for their power supplies, chassis, cooling products and many more. Some are even diehard fans about their spinoff brand CM Storm, the gaming division of Cooler Master, similar to that of Tt eSPORTS from Thermaltake (Really, they even abbreviated their name in the same manner). The product we will be taking a deeper look at today will be the Cooler Master Storm Spawn, which is the latest product from the CM Storm line of products. If most readers recall, the previous Cooler Master Storm Inferno did not perform exceptionally well. So today, let's see how much Cooler Master has stepped up their game for the latest rendition in the CM Storm series of mice. The Cooler Master Storm Spawn is advertised to have Omron Micro Switches for their buttons, and is said to last up to 5 million mouse clicks. We can't exactly test that right at this moment, but maybe later on, if we have a chance we can update the review to include how well the mouse fares after 5 million mouse clicks. The ETA for that would be after the Second Coming. Without further delay, let's dive right into today's review, and see how well the Cooler Master Storm Spawn performs.
Cooler Master continue de développer sa branche gamer, CM Storm. Il faut dire que l’on y trouve surtout des boitiers et des souris. En parlant de souris, l’Inferno était et est encore une superbe réussite, au prix plus que doux. Cela mérite d’être souligné, CM Storm a fait fort sur celle-ci, en se mettant à la portée de toutes les bourses. Celles dans lesquelles on trouve les sous, hein ! Aujourd’hui, CM Storm lui a adjoint une aide de camp en la personne de la Spawn. Il s’agit d’un modèle moins « poussé » que l’Inferno tant en termes de capteur, que de pilotes. Du coup, le prix est encore plus soupline... La simplicité revient un peu sur le devant de la scène, et ce n’est peut-être pas plus mal. Cette Spawn est apparue à la Ferme, et bien sûr, nous lui sommes tombés dessus.

Then I began to understand why PC gaming peripherals are a necessity. And to better enhance my understanding of all the stuff going on in the gaming world, in addition to all the excellent keyboards and mice I already own, I also recently reviewed the Tt eSPORTS Meka G1 mechanical gaming keyboard and the Gigabyte Aivia K8100 gaming keyboard. But one thing seems to missing from the bigger picture as far as my review career is concerned. And the answer to this is simply that I am missing a gaming mouse! In conjunction with the line of Tt eSPORTS products, Thermaltake introduces their Tt eSPORTS Black gaming mouse. Featuring a slick rubber coated surface, a braided cotton cord, as well as various other features, Thermaltake intends on providing the best for gamers and give some of the big boys a nice challenge. Adding this /////AMG BLACK (inspired) mouse in combination with my 'Lamborghini' Aivia K8100 keyboard, only one question comes to my mind: How much supercar power does it pack under the hood? Well, you will have to keep your eyes busy to find out!
What's wrong with a mouse? Well, this may sound like a stupid question but in the mice evolution of design, it was created to be used as an input device for all aspects of computing. Unfortunately the mouse wasn’t created specifically for gaming. You could argue that there are many mice out there that have been created just for gaming but lets be frank, they’ve taken a standard mouse design and tweaked it to make it perform better in the gaming category. It’s like taking a Ford Fiesta, improving the engine and aerodynamics by adding a spoiler but then trying to call it an F1 car. To be a true gaming device it has to be built as such from the ground up.

Tournaments, from the World Cyber Games (WCG) to the famous GSL tournaments, have made gaming a fascination to viewers, fans, and gamers alike. I myself have devoted countless hours to this world of gaming, and by no means do I consider this time wasted. It becomes more than a hobby, and slowly, it transforms into a passion that can be greatly admired by other gaming enthusiasts. When I was asked to review the official keyboard of the WCG tournament of 2010 -- Tt eSPORTS Challenger Pro -- I could not help but feel my passion burn with excitement. Being the first keyboard to come out with a cooling fan, chills were sent down my back at the pure creativity of Thermaltake's long standing tradition of keeping things cool. Spending my sweet week and a half with one of the newest and most compelling of all gamer keyboards has allowed me to view the world of gaming in an entirely new fashion. That is right, ladies and gentle-readers. This single gaming peripheral has changed my perspective of PC gaming and brought something much more to be either praised or condemned. Last summer they released their USB HS1 gaming headset which offered built in USB processing and quality audio output, all for a reasonable asking price of £70.
