The HTPC is becoming a more and more common part of many households. From streaming movies, music, and television to your big screen to simply doing a little websurfing from the comfort of your couch, using the computer doesn't mean having to sit at a desk anymore. Unfortunately, a standard keyboard and mouse combination isn't usually the best solution when you're talking about using your computer from your easy chair.

The wired Rosewill RM-5000L Laser Gaming Mouse is a unknown and certainly unrecognised gaming mouse to many. The Rosewill RM-5000L is a cheap gaming mouse that many would find appealing, as it provides features that only the top gaming mice hold, but for the asking price similar to that of a few pints of beer...

A month ago I publish an article about how much I suck at using PC Gamepads, and I end up having to review a gamepad? I must have angered the gods somehow, because now I have to not only write about my own personal Kryptonite, I also have to touch it. To inspect it. To actually use it. How did I get roped into something like this? Because I was offered unlimited use of the OCMS company car. How could I possibly turn down a semi-new Datsun?

Given the chance to play in a professional environment, I was quite impressed with the Samson C01U USB studio condenser microphone. As a desktop microphone, it is definitely overkill – like using a Peterbilt to go grocery shopping. But give it more demanding tasks, such as audio reproduction, broadcasting, and such, the true power of the C01U can shine through.

The trend is continuing. Blu-ray player competition is getting fierce and we all will be reaping the rewards of cheaper players that will continue to do more with every generation. Samsung's BD-D6500 is a good example of a player that only last year has the features of a model that would have easily been US$100 more.

If you are frugal like myself, spending money on anything that isn't a necessity to life can be a task. One way I have recently discovered to offset this ouch moment is to buy used products, also known as refurbished or re-certified in the tech industry. Millions of people buy and sell used goods on sites like eBay and Craigslist every day. Why take the hefty financial hit on something that is going to drop in value rather quickly when you can pick up a slightly used model and save a substantial amount of money? Often times these refurbished or re-certified items might just be missing a manual or a cable and never made it out of the factory and thus, are still new. Furthermore, depending on where you buy a refurbished item from, a warranty may still accompany the item as is the case with today's display we have for review, the Samsung SyncMaster 2494HM DVI / HDMI 24" LCD Monitor.

Desktop PCs have come to a point where your digital experience will be limited to the capability of your monitor. With high end Core 2 Duo CPUs and decent HD capable video cards priced around $100, there is no reason to be viewing the digital world on low resolution screens. If you are, then it is time to step up and upgrade to an HD Monitor. The question is: is the Samsung SyncMaster P2350 a worthy upgrade? Benchmark Review takes a look at this 23-inch LCD Widescreen monitor and see if it's a good buy.

With a tint of colored styling, 50 000:1 dynamic contrast, and 2ms response time, gamers and movie fiascos can be assured a great time. But the lack of HDMI input is a definite turn-off for many. With the many devices that output 1080p in HDMI format, it is surprising that Samsung decided against this. But the P2350 is a great panel with beautiful styling so it still deserves a good look for those in the market.
