Today we look at the ROCCAT Kulo 7.1 USB headset. Audio quality is not something that most casual gamers tend to care too much about, as long as they can hear whats going on around them they are happy. Recently though there has been a renaissance in gaming audio...
Peripherals
Roccat recently sent us over the Kulo 2.0 headset. It did alright, but there were some issues. Already though, the peripheral maker has released a second edition, or an alternative version; this one coming with a virtual 7.1 surround sound card. It’s USB powered and has a reasonable price tag, but will it improve over its predecessor? Let’s see.
Peripherals
If you’re looking to buy a cool looking surround headset with very good audio quality, lots of volume and plenty of comfort without breaking the bank then the latest KULO 7.1 USB Virtual Surround Headset by Roccat is a fine choice.
Peripherals
Peripherals
Roccat while not one of the oldest names in the peripheral business, has certainly made one for themselves in recent years. XSR has been lucky enough to get to review most of what they have to offer and today is no exception.
Peripherals
Regular readers will have already seen our review of the Roccat Kave gaming headset that we published a few weeks back. Overall the Kave was an impressive headset which had a number of desirable features, such as dedicated 5.1 surround sound. Unfortunately, this caused it to be quite heavy and expensive; two traits which are likely to put off a number of users. So Roccat have sent us their latest gaming headset that promises to be lightweight and considerably cheaper than the Kave.
Peripherals
The latest Stereo Gaming Headset from ROCCAT is named Kulo, is very light (suitable for LAN Parties), and comes with an unique feature: the Automatic Mic-Mute; also, the in-line volume control is very handy. Even if it is an on-ear model, it's confortable even after many hours of use.
Peripherals
Headsets are a very popular and nearly essential extra to the gaming industry as well as a very useful accessory for communications. For this reason we see a lot of new headsets coming to the market by the big gaming brands such as SteelSeries, Roccat and a few others. There is also a huge variety in headsets ranging from small discrete headsets that just do the simple job of combining a pair of headphones with a microphone or some splash out a bit and give you the full 5.1 surround sound experience, or at least try to.
