When you think of the company Cherry you think of mechanical keyboards or at least I do as that’s what they’re most known for. Did you know that they also make many other products besides mechanical keyboard switches? Today for review I have the Cherry ZF 5000 wireless laser gaming mouse that features adjustable DPI of 800 and 1600DPI and of course a laser tracking sensor for the best possible movement detection. The mouse is very unique looking, it kind of looks like a bug honestly, but it works very well and I’ve become rather fond of it. When it comes to wireless mice it’s hard to find a decent one, especially when it comes to gaming, but I’ve had no issues with it at all, tracking is excellent, it responds to any movements with no lag that I noticed. So read on to learn more…

Today on our test bench we will be taking a look at their latest mid-range gaming mouse, the Recon. We'll also be taking a look at the Skorpion Mouse Bungee, a peripheral that ensures we never miss a kill due to a tangled mouse cord.

Although the trend of our days demands from all the latest keyboards to feature Cherry MX mechanical switches/keys both Mad Catz and SteelSeries have proven beyond doubt that normal membrane keyboards are still alive and kicking. Now that i look back my first serious keyboard was the quite impressive (for its time) Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite back in late 1998 but it wasn't really until 2005 that i actually turned around and purchased my very first gaming keyboard the very innovative Logitech G15. Of course thanks to the massive differences and features it carried since then I’ve never used a normal keyboard again unless it was absolutely necessary (how many of you wish that laptops also had gaming keyboards attached?). Today we will be checking out yet another mechanical gaming keyboard that packs quite a few impressive features called the Durandal Ultimate manufactured by Tesoro.

Mechanical keyboards, you know, those higher priced keyboards with awesome clicking sounds, illuminated keys, media keys, and special gaming modes that usually disable the Windows Key. Well, Rosewill has a pretty nice one named Illuminated Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, aka, RK-9100BR. Awesome clicking sounds are present thanks to its Cherry MX Brown switches, LEDs provide an excellent illuminated experience, coupled with media keys, multiple modes and gold plated connectors, Rosewill’s RK-9100BR is a cohesively solid product.

„Die leiseste mechanische Tastatur der Welt“ schreibt sich Matias dank eigenes entwickelter Schalter auf die Fahnen. Universell empfehlenswert ist die „Quiet Pro“ dennoch nicht.

Cooler Master sent over a pre-production sample of their new CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset for evaluation recently. This wired headset certainly has a lot of promise, with eight speakers (four per side), a built-in microphone, optional ear padding, a powered desktop control panel and the option to plug directly into your sound card. More importantly, at least for me, is that the headset features over-the-ear cups. I find these types of headsets much more comfortable than on-the-ear cans which tend to cause me discomfort after a short while.

Every good gamer should look past their desktop and laptop to their interface, namely the mouse and headset. As important as it is for you to be able to effectively and precisely move when in a game it is equally important for you to be able to hear when your enemies fire or run at you. A good headset is critical to your gaming experience. We took the Ozone Onda ST out for a spin and show you why it earns our TechwareLabs Gold Award. See why we liked this product so much.
