Today I will be reviewing the Sharkoon QuickPort XT USB 3.0 PLUS hdd dock. Sharkoon have been around for quite a while, and have built up a good reputation of reliable useful products. Today I will see how this USB 3.0 dock compares to a USB 2.0 dock. I am hopeful this dock will beat the older standard, and am somewhat excited to be dealing with this product – as it will be my first encounter with USB 3.0!

First impressions last. That's the first thing you'll think of when looking at the GIGABYTE Aivia M8600 Wireless Macro Gaming Mouse. It's quite striking to look at; to hold on the other hand is a different argument. I use as my everyday mouse a Razer Mamba and it's quite curved; the GIGABYTE Aivia M8600 mouse has a high ridge where your palm rests which can be annoying - you may ask why I'm starting off with a negative?

Creative's THX headsets are widely regarded as some of the best out there, and the Tactic3D Sigma reaffirms that. This offering has everything gamers are looking for in a headset - clear, accurate sound reproduction with THX quality, an adjustable noise-canceling mic, durable construction and a lightweight, comfortable fit. Sound quality is nothing short of amazing over the USB connection, and the option to use standard minijacks with a portable audio player is a nice feature to have.

Whenever someone brings up the topic about keyboards, the first thought that runs through my mind is 'headshot'. Why headshot? Well, I just think about the frustrated gamer who does a miniature Hulk smash on his keyboard when he suddenly dies in Counter-Strike. I hate to imagine how many keyboards die every year due to competitive gamers unleashing their rage. Of course, when it comes down to playing games at a competitive level, many would say a mechanical keyboard is the only way to go. Mechanical keyboards excel at quick keystrokes due to independent switches and high tactile resistance. Obviously, those who want the upper edge and play at a competitive level would probably be looking for the typical gaming keyboard and wired mouse. In today's world, some feature LCD screens, and still others provide macro capabilities. However, many people could say, at one point or another, they had to play games with a normal office keyboard. I remember way back when I first got my own awesome gaming computer, I had to settle with a cheap wireless keyboard and mouse. It was nothing special, but I will tell you a little secret of mine. I still loved it. Was I a super competitive gamer at 14? No. Games were all about the fun of being engaged in some fantasy and working towards an objective. It never really mattered if there was a few milliseconds of delay, or have my wireless mouse die on me in the middle of critical situations. The latter grew into the reason why I changed over to a wired mouse for gaming. Nonetheless, the Genius SlimStar 8000 brings back the nostalgia of playing games and completing other office work with a wireless keyboard and mouse, and things have gotten much smaller since then. Read on to find out more about this slim little keyboard and mouse.

Until now, Razer haven’t had any mechanical keyboards in their lineup, however, with the release of the affordable Black Widow and Black Widow Ultimate, they are clearly trying to bring this technology to the mass market. Today we are going to look at the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, which boasts an impressive feature set which should
really enhance the overall experience.

When you first think of Sharkoon, the first thought that would come to mind would generally be fans. When you delve a little bit deeper into their product ranges, you'll be pleasantly surprised to see that they cater for a number of markets, gaming headsets being one of them. The current market for headsets is fiercely competitive and so any new comers to the area have got a huge mark to step up to.

As the name implies, the IE2’s are version 2 of Bose’s in-ear headphone range. There are three different specifications available: the standard IE2 (which we will be reviewing), the MIE2 and at the top of the range, the MIE2i. The MIE2 headphones have a microphone and button for taking calls. The top specification headphones, the MIE2i also have an inline remote suited to work with iPhones, iPads and IPods.
