The Mionix Avior 8200 Gaming Mouse is a well built product that's comfy to hold, has a soft rubber grip, it's ambidextrous, 8200 DPI sensor, 128kb built-in memory, customizable LED lighting system, 9 programmable buttons and much more. The attention to details is excellent with a minimalistic look to it.
I must admit that i've never really enjoyed watching other people play games at least not for long periods of time (ok girls are something somewhat unique since where i live that's a very rare phenomenon) and so i think that's also the reason as to why i sometimes fail to see the point behind the existence of all those relatively new eSPORTS professional teams out there. That being said however i also have to admit that because there are so many eSPORTS teams out there (mostly the really old ones) attracting millions of fans around the globe for the past few years manufacturers have focused a lot into developing much better gaming peripherals such as mice, keyboard and headsets. Mionix is amongst those manufacturers and although it's been quite a while since I’ve had my hands on one of their products for the past week we've been testing their latest Avior 8200 laser gaming mouse which brought back memories of the very impressive Naos 5000 laser gaming mouse (my very first encounter with them).
Mionix comes out singing with both hands as they deliver the ambidextrous Avior 8200 mouse for testing. Let's dive in and take a close look at it.
Every gamer i know from casual ones and up to eSports professionals has invested quite a bit in a good graphics card but for some weird reason casual gamers don't see the real value in investing a bit in gaming peripherals such as keyboards, mice, mats and headsets. I don't know if that's due to the fact that they prefer single player games and so they don't need to worry about having the edge over serious competition coming from other players but regardless of the reason that's just how things are. Through the years I’ve used and reviewed a very large number of gaming peripherals and so have most editors i know but there aren't that many manufacturers that come to mind when talking about gaming mice like Mionix and since they just launched their latest model called the Castor we just had to have it on our test bench.
It’s weird, for a long time it felt like I was testing a new mouse every week or two week. More recently though that has almost completely flipped and my peripheral testing has been all keyboards. Well just before vacation and then the LAN I did have a bit of a chance of pace. Mionix sent over their latest mouse, the Castor and asked us to take a look at it. So I’ve been putting the new mouse to the test in the office while I have been getting caught up on work. Well I finally have a little time to be able to sit down and talk about Mionix’s latest mouse and how it performed, so hang on I’m going to go over everything.
The Ensis 320 takes part from Mionix new series of aluminum mouse pads, comes in two color flavors and its contact surface has been treated with a low data loss treatment, which gives the product a matte glow. Its total width is 2mm, the first half being the machined aluminum surface and the second a non-slip grip natural rubber material.
Today we’re having at the first of a pair of Mionix pads, with a traditional form factor – the Ensis 320. The Ensis is an aluminium mousepad that looks nice, but how will it perform? Let’s put it to the test.
Today we will be looking at their first entry into the gaming audio market – the Keid 20. This headset is named after a star system and Mionix hopes this headset will shine as brightly as its namesake. The Keid 20 is an ergonomically designed gaming headset which features passive noise reduction and sound optimized for gaming. The ear cups are made with special memory foam that conforms to the shape of the user’s ears.
In the last week I’ve taken a look at regular headphones and earbuds, so today I have a gaming headset to round things off a bit. Mionix is a company based out of Sweden actually, and they’re trying to get into the market on this side of the ocean so they’re not very well known here. They do however make some pretty good products, I’ve got a couple of their mice and like them quite a bit, using one right now actually. They’ve recently released a gaming headset called the Keid 20 and that’s what I’ve got of review for you today. The Keid 20 is a very comfortable headset that’s nicely made and designed with decent audio but it does have one flaw, so read on to learn more…
Nachdem der aus Schweden stammende Hersteller Mionix bereits mit dem Vorgängermodell NAOS 5000 in der Gamer-Welt auf sich aufmerksam gemacht hat, dürfen wir hier die kleinere Version der Gaming-Maus mit einem 3200-DPI-Sensor testen. Der Name der NAOS 3200 ergibt sich aus dieser DPI Zahl. Das Äußere gleicht stark der 5000-Version. Somit verfügt auch die NAOS 3200 über eine ausgeprägte Ergonomie, bei welcher auf die Verwendung aller fünf Finger der rechten Hand gesetzt wird. In mattem schwarz und mit dreifarbiger Beleuchtung kann die Maus auf jeden Fall bei der potenziellen Nutzergruppe punkten. Ob es Mionix auch geschafft hat den technisch Ansprüchen der Nutzer gerecht zu werden und letztlich den Erfolg der NAOS 5000 zu wiederholen, versuchen wir in diesem Review zu klären.
