Believe it or not, Microsoft has been creating hardware devices for over 25 years. They are no stranger to devices with both form and function. Very recently, Microsoft Hardware Division has created the new Arc Touch wireless mouse that falls in line with such products as the previously reviewed Arc Keyboard. Benchmark Reviews has been given the opportunity to check out Microsoft's Arc Touch Wireless Mouse, model RVF-00001. With such features as a scroll-wheel replacing touch-strip, 2.4ghz wireless technology, and an ambidextrous design, this looks to be a very promising device. There are plenty of wireless mice out on the market already, does Microsoft have what it takes to be competitive in this saturated market? Read the full review of the Microsoft Arch Touch on Benchmark Reviews to find out.

We are looking at the Microsoft Comfort Curve 3000 keyboard, which is apparently the bigger (yet somehow smaller) brother of the Comfort Curve 2000 keyboard.

Recommending the Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse is an absolute no-brainer. Although this isn't the cheapest mouse on the market, with its Blue track technology, amazing battery life, portability along with excellent build quality makes the product rise up to the price.
Peripherals
After using Microsoft's new Explorer mouse for over a week, I'm very impressed by both the functionality of the BlueTrack Technology and the overall design and feel of the mouse. Careful shopping can get you one of these units for around $40 or so, and while cheaper mice are available, I would consider this an excellent value and would have no reservations in recommending this product.

The LifeCam VX-5500 sits near the top of Microsoft's web cam offerings yet the E4C-00001 kit checks in at a very reasonable price point. It has some great features including noise cancelling, echo cancelling, 1.3MP HD picture quality, and auto-adjustment for low light conditions -all in a compact package clearly directed toward the mobile user. Benchmark Reviews took a look at the VX-5000 a few months ago, now we'll check out the VX-5500 and see if it performs as well as this mobile warrior hopes.

If all you could see was the mouse, you might just buy it there. There's a lot of action on the thing, but a little studying shows not bling, but function cut down to hard lines. And then there're the hallmarks of great gaming mice, like the customizable weights and swappable feet for different kinds of resistance. But then, what about macros? Game-specific configurations? Hot red ground lights? Ok, there's a little bling. Might come in handy if you need a, uh. Bling.

If you're looking for a cheap, basic mouse to either game with or use for the desktop then you should highly consider the Microsoft SideWinder X3 as it offers great value for money while maintaining some of the features found on more expensive mice.
Peripherals
Today we will be checking out the latest addition to Microsoft's PC gaming peripheral line - the Sidewinder X4. This keyboard is designed to be the economy model for gamers. About a year ago we reviewed the Sidewinder X6 and now we will check out its little brother. Unlike other Microsoft gaming products this keyword is entirely designed by the folks at Redmond. The Microsoft Sidewinder X4 looks like a basic keyboard with the addition of media and macro keys. The Sidewinder X4 is missing some knobs and buttons found on its bigger brother the X6 but should still has plenty of features to hold its own.
