In a market segment rife with choice, any manufacturer which wants to stand out must innovate their way past the rest of the crowd or use clever marketing techniques to dupe their target market. Fortunately for us here at Benchmark Reviews, Roccat chose to innovate when they created their KONE[+] Gaming Mouse. I honestly believed that there wasn't much more that could be done in the field of pointing and clicking mouse technology but I was wrong. Roccat have introduced three great features unique to the KONE[+] mouse and also equipped it with a 6000dpi Pro Aim laser for some extremely responsive pointing ability. Intrigued? Please read on to find out more.

If you're the type gamer who spends more than the normal amount of time tweaking your peripherals, then the Shift keyboard from SteelSeries deserves your consideration. Not only does it allow you to configure every single key, it also enables you to record macros on-the-fly and even switch out the entire keyset for another.

Roccat has shown us here at Benchmark Reviews that it has what it takes to compete successfully in the gaming mouse market. What we are going to find out today is whether they can follow that success with the Roccat ISKU Illuminated Gaming Keyboard. Like the KONE[+] gaming mouse, the ISKU gaming keyboard has EasyShift[+] and when these two devices are paired together they can communicate with each other using the Roccat Talk protocol. There are three EasyShift[+] zones featuring 28 easy-to-reach macro keys, 5 doubly-programmable dedicated M-keys and 3 doubly-programmable Thumbster T-Keys. It is possible to assign different pre-defined functions to the eight media keys and you can also re-assign the F-keys to be used as shortcut or application launch keys. The illuminated keys have five levels of brightness and will auto dim when the keyboard has been idle for a predefined amount of time. If this hasn't got you interested then I don't know what w! ill, please read on to find out more.

The BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Edition keyboard from RAZER comes with the silent Cherry MX Brown switches, has a matte finish, and all key functions can be reassigned (an exception would be the "Fn" key); also, the keyboard features an anti-ghosting ability, so up to 6 key presses can be registered at once. The keys are backlit individually, with 5 available levels of lighting, that can be set without the need of installing extra software.

Logitech have always held a soft spot in my heart and being honest I'm a bit of a Logitech whore when it comes down to it. They in my opinion make some of the greatest peripherals on the market, hence why my desk is rocking a Logitech keyboard, mouse, set of headphones and the amazing and inspiring Z5500 speakers.
Peripherals
There are many gaming mice on the market that sell for well over $60, but Logitech delivers an option at a mere $40 that it believes will cater to a huge number of gamers out there. It features a small, light design, a total of nine completely configurable buttons, a 2500 DPI sensor, comprehensive support for macros and more.
