Erst Ende Mai in diesem Jahr haben wir von der Firma OCZ das Kraftpaket Fatal1ty 700FTY mit 700W aus der High Performance Serie getestet. Heute wenden wir uns der Modular Serie zu. Unser Testmuster ist das Modell OCZ Fatal1ty 550FTY mit einer dauerhaften Ausgangsleistung von 550W. Am Ende des Tests ist klar, ob das Netzteil nicht nur im Betrieb gut aussieht, sondern ob auch die inneren Werte stimmen.

This is based around the Silent Pro Gold Model, but it features a high grade cooling fan with hydraulic bearings … this stops rotating completely when the loads are below 200W. Cooler Master have a 1300W, a 1050W and an 850W in the range and we are looking at the smallest, most affordable supply in the series.

Lange Zeit war es relativ ruhig um den Netzteilriesen Seasonic, auch wenn sie sich dank des OEM Geschäftes und natürlich der Produktion für andere Firmen sicherlich nicht über mangelnde Auslastungen beklagen dürften. Aber jetzt nahen endlich die lange angekündigten Highlights, neue Netzteile mit DC-to-DC Technik samt Polymer-Aluminium-Kondensatoren, wobei die neue M12D Serie mit vorläufig zwei Varianten (750 und 850 Watt) an den Start gehen wird. Wir haben uns für das M12D mit 850 Watt entschieden, damit wir unser Crossfire System weiter ans Limit treiben können, denn mit einem Office System wäre so ein Netzteil nicht mal ansatzweise auszulasten.
Xigmatek ist nun schon eine Weile am Netzteilmarkt und präsentierte vor allem gängige CWT Produkte, die eine gute Performance an den Tag legten, sich allerdings nie sonderlich durchsetzen konnten.
