Power Supply
Sitting at the top of OCZ's recently announced Champ1on Series of Fatal1ty PSUs is the 80Plus Gold Certified 1000w model with modular cables and very distinct styling. We have that very version on our test bench today and will find out if gamers should be putting it at the top of their shopping list for new system builds... after all we all need a new system with AMD and NVIDIA throwing out new GPUs almost weekly.

The OCZ Fatal1ty 1000W is a well-balanced power supply of high quality, offering great performance and a unique appearance. Considering its target group, it may not be cheap but it is not excessively expensive either. We are certain that hardcore users will enjoy the Fatal1ty 1000W unit, particularly those who would like to have a unit with individually sleeved cables but do not have the skills or the time to perform such an extensive modification...
Power Supply
OCZ has made a very good power supply with the Fatal1ty 1000W. It's extremely efficient, the ripple values are unsurpassed and the individually sleeved wires give it a unique look. The fact that the manufacturer has worked together with Jonathan 'Fatal1ty' Wendell, once known as the #1 gamer in the world, indicates what the intended target audience is for this PSU. If you don't care about a little noise, then the OCZ Fatal1ty 1000W is an excellent PSU with 80 Plus Gold certification that case modders will definitely enjoy.

There are many components inside a PC which seem to be requiring increasing amounts of power as they seem to require huge wattages to function correctly. This is why the PSU market has advanced massively in recent years with PSU’s with wattages up to 1200 watts and beyond not uncommon. Most PC’s however will not require such a huge amount of power which is why there are many high performance, lower wattage PSU’s currently on offer. With this in mind I introduce the: OCZ Fatal1ty 550w PSU.

OCZ Fatal1ty 700 W promises to be a high-end gamer-grade power supply, labeled at 50º C and featuring a 120-mm fan, active PFC, single rail design but not a modular cabling system. Is this a good product? Can it really deliver 700 W? Let's see.

Love him or hate him, Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendal certainly has a nice range of products. One such company who make a power supply for his Fatal1ty series of products is OCZ, and today, we’ve been lucky enough to get our hands on a 700W OCZ Fatal1ty power supply. Is this 700 watt PSU really as good as it’s made out to be? Read on and you’ll find out…

Being a "celebrity" of sorts does tend to paint a target on you, and Wendel is no different. Instead of praising him as a role model and successful entrepreneur, critics have harped that Fatal1ty branded products have steep price tags and that you are essentially paying extra for the "Fatal1ty" name. A quick check at a popular online retailer reveals that most Fatal1ty branded gear is priced according to its competition. Others tend to forget that the majority of Fatal1ty products are top quality; he doesn't just go around and endorse every product thrown at him. It is with this mindset that we present the OCZ Fatal1ty Series 700w Power Supply for review.

After buying PC Power & Cooling, OCZ decided to keep selling power supplies without modular cabling system and with a single +12 V rail under that brand, and sell under their own brand only products with modular cabling system. Fatal1ty 750 W is, therefore, a unit with this feature.

For the past two years OCZ has been capitalizing on the Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel name to promote their gaming series of memory and power supplies. The product we have for review today is the new OCZ Fatal1ty 750W power supply. The 750W carries OCZ's exclusive PowerSwap five year warranty, ensuring if you ever experience a problem with your power supply, you'll get a new replacement and not a refurbished unit. The 80Plus Bronze certification rates the 750W at a higher efficiency, and the new modular cable design utilizes low-profile, molded cables rather than stiff, bulky nylon mesh wrap. nVidia SLI-Ready certification determines the 750W to be dual-GPU capable, with quad +12v rails and four 6+2pin PCI-e cables.
