Power Supply
Summer may be the most exciting season for the majority of people around the world (i prefer winter slightly more) since it represents vacation time and of course endless dives in the deep blue sea (for some people anyways) but due to the extreme heat waves it's also without doubt the worst season when it comes to pretty much everything electronic and mechanical from TVs, refrigerators and PC hardware up to heavy industrial, car and bike engines. The Summer period is also one of the main reasons as to why we always recommend high quality and performance CPU Coolers and power supply units to people and since June is almost upon us we decided to spend a little bit more time over some of the latest power supply units to hit the market such as the Triathlor FC 700W by Enermax.
Power Supply
Enermax's new Triathlor FC 650W has a decent set of features and performs relatively well, but the price point seems a bit askew for what you get.
Power Supply
The Triathlor FC is the latest power supply series with the 80 Plus Bronze certification from Enermax, coming to replace the MODU82+ series. So far, three models were released: 550 W, 650 W, and 700 W. Let's see if the 650 W model is a good buy.
Power Supply
Enermax is a brand whose strong product is their power supplies, especially when it comes to the high-end spectrum. Their Platimax and MAXREVO units are some of the best out there. But these units are not cheap in terms of cost. Enermax knows not everyone has a ton of cash to throw at a new power supply so they have created the Triathlor series of power supplies. There are actually the Triathlor and Triathlor FC units. The Triathlor units are lower wattage and non-modular and the Triathlor FC units are higher wattage and are modular. Today we are checking out the Triathlor FC 550W unit which is 80PLUS Bronze certified and offers quiet operation.

Enermax Triathlor FC 550 Watt Neben den Oberklasse- und High-End-Serien Revolution87+ und Platimax bietet Enermax auch Mittelklasse-Netzteile an. Wir testen das Triathlor FC 550 Watt.
Power Supply
Das Enermax Triathlor Eco rundet Enermax' Sortiment nach unten ab: Günstiger als die Triathlor FC, aber ebenfalls modular und mit 80Plus-Bronze. Wir testen den 450-Watt-Spross.
Power Supply
Enermax’s Triathlor series is one of their budget series of power supplies. The Triathlor series is below the Platimax, MaxRevo and Revolution87+ power supplies but above the NAXN82+ and NAXN Basic power supplies. The Triathlor series still boasts the same Enermax quality and reliability but is instead aimed at providing a more attractive price point. We’ve already taken at Enermax’s 450W Triathlor power supply which we found to be a great power supply even if it was a tad on the expensive side, though you’d expect that as even though the Triathlor series from Enermax is “budget” it is still better than the budget offerings from most other companies. Of course the Enermax Triathlor should be seen more as a mid-range product, though with 80 Plus Bronze certification it is hard to market it as that.
The Enermax ETA700AWT-M Triathlor FC 700W semi-modular power supply we have here today is Enermax’s top Triathlor series PSU. With a semi-modular cabling design, enough power for SLI/CFX and a custom T.B Silence 120mm fan this power supply would do justice to anything high end gaming system. Unlike some of the cheaper competitors out there Enermax’s 700W Triathlor uses a high quality DC to DC converter design, has active PFC and uses Japanese capacitors so should have top notch performance. Without any further ado let’s find out how good the performance actually is.
