The Coolmax V-500 costs only USD 22 at Newegg.com and, therefore, we were very skeptical that it could deliver its labeled wattage, 500 W. Wattage, as we always explain, isn't everything. Let's see the other downsides of using a cheap power supply.
Corsair recently refreshed their TX series of power supplies. We took a look at both the 750W and 850W versions and found that they were both good units. The EarthWatts Platinum is the latest power supply series from Antec, and will be available in 450 W, 550 W, and 650 W versions, coming with the 80 Plus Platinum certification.
