Exactly three months ago, we have introduced you to the funny named FSP AURUM Gold 600W power supply. To understand what is so funny about the name of this power supply, it requires a little bit of cross-cultural background knowledge. In the same way it is redundant to go out and call someone a 'fat American' or 'drunk *ahem*' (Let's not go there, because I will get sued), one thing we should all understand before starting this review this morning, is 'Aurum' means nothing other 'Gold' in Latin. So why would FSP make up a name that literally means 'Gold Gold'? While only FSP's marketing department can answer that particular question, a more important one actually remained at the back of my head since April. To put it in terms we can all understand, let's just say if Pete Seeger is interested in computer power supplies -- and forgive us if he is -- the question we should be hearing about the FSP AURUM Gold series is, "Where have all the modular cables gone?" Well, rejoice geeky Pete Seeger and friends: Because FSP have learned, and not long after the release of the original FSP AURUM Gold series of power supplies, along came the modular version of it. Aptly as the FSP AURUM CM Gold series, is the 'cable management' series of FSP's excellent flagship line of PSUs still the right product to buy? Once again, we disassembled one here at APH Networks, and took a look at what's under the hood.

Club 3D is a renowned graphics card manufacturer well known among enthusiasts, who recently diversified towards the power supply market. A few weeks ago we had a look on one of their most powerful power supplies, the CSP-X1000CB, which is aimed towards hardcore enthusiasts and professionals with powerful systems. Today we are going to test and review the CSP-S600 power supply, a significantly simpler product aiming towards the mainstream market.

Generally for the average consumer, specific brands are chosen over others; whether it may be due to customer satisfaction, personal experience, external influence, etc. Do you prefer Coke or Pepsi? Canon or Nikon? Cooler Master or Thermaltake? The list goes on. Whatever the reason may be, the fact remains that we tend to enjoy the company of products from manufacturer "A" rather than manufacturer "B" -- and that's quite alright! Of course, the area of computer related hardware is far more malleable than say, your choice of soft drink. What I mean here is that although there are brands that we absolutely adore, we cannot ignore products that are released by another brand that simply blow the community away. Example, you purchase an Intel SSD and you are a proud supporter of Intel (Who wouldn't be). However, here comes OCZ Technology with the release of a new SSD -- in this case let's just say the new highly recommended 1337 imba OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 240GB -- and as an enthusiast, you just cannot ignore the absolute amazing awesomeness of such engineering. Long story short, you get it. Am I implying that I prefer Thermaltake PSU's over Cooler Master and Cooler Master released a new PSU that will blow my mind? No. In this situation, I am looking a little deeper, more specifically towards Cooler Master's GX Series of power supply units. If you are a layman reading this, you probably have no clue as to what I am saying. Let me explain. Although the GX line of power supply units are all from Cooler Master, the new GX 450W is actually manufactured by an entirely OEM than other infamous units of the same product line. So, in a sense, performance of the GX 450W is entirely different than the other PSUs of the series. So what happened under the hood? Read on to find out!

Thermaltake is a very well known company among enthusiasts. The company was founded in 1999 and started off as a cooling solutions manufacturer and later diversified into many other areas. Today Thermaltake offers a vast selection of technology-related products and also replenishes their product ranges very frequently. Today, VR-Zone will have a look at the first Thermaltake PSU entering our labs, the highly popular TR2 800W unit

The latest MAXREVO 1350W 80Plus Gold certified power supply unit by Enermax is not only a worthy successor to their already excellent Revolution85+ series but also one of the two most powerful all-modular units in the market with support for future power connectors, right next to its 1500W brother.

True enthusiasts know that their selection of power supplies is limited. High output units that deliver well over 1000W of power just don't have the demand that the 700-850W units do and as such, we don't see a new, full blown enthusiast grade power supply hit the market that often. Today, however, is one of those glorious days where we get to put something to the test for those that demand large amounts of high quality power and won't settle for anything less. We've got Enermax's new MaxRevo 1350W power supply on the bench and it promises to be just what any enthusiast needs.
