Power Supply
One of the best parts of covering hardware for computer enthusiasts is that there are so many different needs for enthusiasts. Usually when someone thinks of someone as being an enthusiast, they relate them with someone who has the fastest or most powerful equipment available. This isn't necessarily the case, especially with what we are looking at today. HTPC enthusiasts often look for something that is small and unobtrusive, or something that is silent yet powerful. Silent and powerful is something that is hard to come by with a HTPC, especially since fanless power supplies are few and far between.

While I knew that Kingwin was able to produce some nice drive enclosures and CPU coolers, I wasn't convinced that their expertise was going to carry over to power supplies. The Mach-1 series 1000W power supply (model ABT-1000MA1S) proved me wrong, and convinced me that Kingwin should be taken seriously in this market, too.

Kingwin's Mach 1 1000-Watt ATX power supply brings a lot to the table, and it's all good. With excellent performance, quiet operation, and a very innovative feature set, this PSU could easily find a home in the most demanding systems.

Kingwin makes sure you're taken care of with plenty of features in the LZP-1000. All your protections are present. The LZP-1000 has both native and modular cabling, all of which is fully sleeved. The LZP-1000 is also capable of delivering 100% continuous output at 50C.
Kingwin has an MSRP of $229 on the LZP-1000 1000W unit. We were able to find it cheapest at Newegg for $193.98 at the time of writing this article after shipping and a $20 MIR. That makes it at least $50 cheaper than any other 1000W Platinum unit on the market today. Kingwin backs the LZP-1000 with their customary five year warranty.
