REVOLUTION85+ is an 80 Plus Silver power supply series from Enermax featuring modular cabling system, resonant switching and a synchronous design with DC-DC conversion. The manufacturer promises that units from this series are capable of delivering their rated power at 50º C, and up to 99% of the power can be pulled from the +12 V rails. Power supplies from this series are available in 850 W, 920 W, 950 W, 1020 W, 1050 W and 1250 W flavors. The 920 W and 1020 W are new addition to the series and have four +12 V rails, while the other models have six +12 V rails. Let's see how the new 920 W model performs in our tests

Today we will take a look at their new flagship PSU, the Revolution 85+ 1250W. Enermax never fail to impress when releasing new products and once again their new Revolution85+ range boasts better performance figures than we've ever seen to date. We will find out today if new records are going to be set.
We are looking at a 750W Revolution87+ series Power Supply Unit from Enermax. And it has
it all. It is 80 Plus Gold certified, modular cables and quality components. And on top
it's wrapped in a nice looking case. But what about the performance?
Not everyone can afford 1000w+ units, especially Platinum certified products which always come with a premium so to cater for the mainstream Enermax has just released their Revolution87+ 850w model and we have one on our test bench today. Can it impress us as much as their new enthusiast models?
I can't speak about where you all live but where we live we get countless of electricity spikes and blackouts during both hard winter and summer periods (due to increased power requirements) so that's all the more reason to own a very good power supply unit. Granted a PSU may not be able to withstand the worse possible electricity outages/spikes/blackouts but so far out of the countless ones we've tested under such conditions (also our PSU test bench is deliberately not plugged into a UPS) only 1 has ever failed us. So a good/high end PSU should last for a long time even if you don't own a good UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply - something we do however recommend having). One such unit is the latest Revolution87+ 850W PSU by Enermax which we've been testing for the past week with quite impressive results i might add.
