Enermax is well known amongst the enthusiast community for their quality power supplies inside and out. The examples we have seen in the last year with the MaxRevo and the Modu87+ were no exceptions, so when Enermax offered us the chance to get an early look at their upcoming Platimax unit, we gladly obliged. Enermax already has several Platimax power supplies available and we've heard that the 600W model will launch sometime in January 2012.

So auch Enermax, die in dieser prominenten Runde nicht fehlen dürfen. Mittlerweile erreichen uns wöchentlich neue Pressemitteilungen aus der aktuellen Platimax Serie. Mittlerweile verfügt die Serie über 6 Modelle, 500 bis 1500 Watt. Wir zeigen euch heute das mit 750 Watt.
Technic3D hat das 750 Watt Netzteil aus der Enermax Platimax Serie im Test. Die teuren Netzteil Vertreter mit 80Plus Platin Zertifikat sind im Handel noch rar gesät. Dies soll sich jedoch noch in diesem Jahr ändern und Enermax verspricht eine Verfügbarkeit im Oktober. Wie das Effiziente Platimax im Test abschneidet, steht im folgenden Review.
Seit Hersteller wie FSP oder SuperFlower auch günstigere Netzteile mit 80Plus Gold bereitstellen, ist das Zertifikat längst nicht mehr nur für High-End-Geräte vorbehalten. Daher setzt sich langsam aber sicher 80Plus Platinum durch, um die Produkte im hohen Preisbereich sichtbar abgrenzen zu können. Um diese Auszeichnung zu erhalten, werden Änderungen vorgenommen, die ein Netzteil insgesamt verändern. Daher wollen wir nun untersuchen, wie sich ein 80Plus-Platinum-Netzteil bei unserem Lasttest schlägt. Außerdem werden wir, wie es bei Neuheiten üblich ist, die Elektronik etwas näher begutachten.
Nun ist es also soweit, Enermax lanciert seine erste 80+ Platin Netzteilserie, die auf die extraordinäre Namensgebung Platimax hört und mit einer Effizienz bis zu 94% punkten soll. Ja auch wir mußten kurz innehalten und der ausgeklügelten Kreativität ihren Tribut zollen, bei dem Namen ist es wirklich nicht einfach, spontan eine Assoziation zu Enermax herzustellen. Anyway, dass Enermax rein technisch betrachtet aktuell zu einigem in der Lage ist, haben sie kürzlich in unserem MaxRevo Test mehr als deutlich unter Beweis stellen können. Also werden sie sicherlich dessen Topologie für die Platimax Bauserie verwendet haben oder? mitnichten, erst ab einer Leistung von 1000 Watt kommt eine optimierte MaxRevo Topologie zum Einsatz. Alle anderen Leistungssstufen darunter sind überarbeitete Enermax Pro 87+ respektive Modu 87+ Netzteile, was ja grundsätzlich als Basis ebenfalls passen sollte, zumal auch diese Netzteile immer noch en Vogue wären. Das bedeutet für die technikbegeisterten Anwender im Klartext, LLC Resonanzwandler sind diesmal wieder ebenso implementiert, wie DC-to-DC Technik und einige spezielle Features aus den Enermax Schatullen, auf die wir noch näher eingehen werden.
The 80 Plus Platinum certification is the next level in energy efficiency, promising 92% minimum efficiency at typical load (i.e., at half of the power supply's labeled power). The Enermax Platimax was one of the first power supply series carrying this new certification level to reach the market, with 600 W, 750 W, 850 W, 1,000 W, and 1,200 W versions. We've already tested the 600 W model, which proved to be an excellent product. Let's see if the 850 W version is a good choice.

When shopping for a quality power supply Enermax are always one of the companies to place at the top of a shortlist. Last October we looked at their Platimax 1200W power supply and today we are reviewing the 850W version. Like the bigger brother, this product is 80 Plus Platinum Certified.
Enermax are one of the biggest names in high end power supplies these days and the Platimax branding has recognition throughout the industry as being one of the most efficient power supply units available thanks to its association with the 80 Plus Platinum certification. Today we have with us one of these units as we test the Enermax Platimax 850W power supply. The Platimax series from Enermax is aimed at the top-end user and the particular unit we have with us today, the Enermax Platimax 850W, is aimed at the user with dual GPU configurations (SLI or CFX) and quite a thirsty overall system.
Enermax certainly haven't skimped out on this power supply and are throwing an impressive 5 year warranty behind it, a custom 140mm Twister bearing fan, high quality components and a whole range of protections and certifications. If you are looking for a high-end power supply then Enermax certainly give the impression that this is one of the best options, but as always let us find out if this is the case as we put the Enermax Platimax 850W through its paces in this review!
Nach einer ganzen Reihe von Highend Netzteilen, stehen selbstverständlich auch die bezahlbaren Exemplare noch in unserem Focus. Einerseits benötigt nicht jeder ein Highend Netzteil für seinen Office-respektive moderat ausgestatteten Gaming-Rechner. Andererseits steht und fällt letztendlich auch alles mit dem Preis, zumal nicht jeder über 100 Euro für Netzteil ausgeben kann oder möchte. Darum möchten wir bis zum Jahresende unsere Preis-Leistungs Empfehlungen noch um zwei eventuelle Positionen erweitern.
