Over the past year,, XFX have carried on doing what they do best, but have also entered the power supply market releasing a whole line of PSUs in various wattages in the hope to tick all of the right boxes.
Zalman has just released a new power supply line, the HP Plus, featuring two internal heatpipes and modular cabling system. Is the 850 W model a good choice?

Auf Grund der ausgesprochen starken Nachfrage, haben wir uns kurzfristig entschlossen, weitere preiswerte Netzteile der Markenhersteller im Leistungssegment um 400 Watt zu testen. En Detail werden das zunächst die Netzteile be quiet! Straight Power E8 400W und das Antec High Current Gamer HCG-400 sein, wobei wir weitere Neuzugänge wie das neue Enermax ErPro80+ eventuell auch noch berücksichtigen werden.
Wie bereits im letzten Test angekündigt, hat die Redaktion diesmal ein Exemplar aus der High Current Gamer Serie der Firma Antec auf dem Prüfstand. Dabei handelt es sich um den Kraftspender mit 520W und der Modellbezeichnung HCG-520. Außer diesem Netzteil mit einer Ausgangsleistung von 520W sind innerhalb dieser Serie auch Netzteile mit den Ausgangsleistungen 400W, 620W, 750W und 900W erhältlich.
SilverStone’s new Strider Plus 600W is quite the nifty unit. It is built well, it performs well and to be honest, there just isn’t too much to complain about. Through our four tests, including the little run in the hot box the Strider Plus 600W continued to impress us by its line regulations and solid efficiency numbers.
Another area they have delved into is power supplies, offering a multitude of units ranging from 360w all the way up to 1,000w monsters. Today we will be taking a look at one of their newer power supplies, the ZM850-HP Plus, a modular power system that features a large 140mm cooling fan, heatpipe-cooled internals and an 80-Plus Silver certification.
XFX is releasing their PRO series of power supplies, with single +12 V rail, DC-DC secondary design, and 80 Plus Bronze certification. So far three models were released: 650 W, 750 W, and 850 W. We have already tested the 650 W model, which proved to have a terrific cost/benefit ratio. Let's see if the 750 W model follows the same path.
