In diesem Review sehen wir uns mit dem TX850W das Topmodell der Serie an und prüfen ob Corsair auch hier mit der gewohnt hohen Qualität überzeugen kann.

Cougar is a brand that belongs to HEC/Compucase, originally targeted to the European market. Recently, they started expanding to the North American market as well. Damit möchte sich Cougar stärker von der Konkurrenz unterscheiden. Nach wie vor gehört die A-Serie aber eher zu den günstigeren Produkten, weshalb wir heute einen Blick auf die Qualität werfen möchten. Hier haben wir das A660 erhalten, welches neben dem A560 und dem A760 zu den kompletten neuen Modellen gehört. Diese werden laut Cougar exklusiv an Alternate verkauft, sind aber auch bereits bei anderen Fachhändlern gelistet. Wir weisen ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass es sich bei diesem Testmuster um ein "pre-production sample" handelt.
Wir haben bereits einige der aktuellen Cougar Netzteile getestet, hauptsächlich im mittleren Leistungsbereich. Doch auch in den Regionen für Enthusiasten hat Cougar entsprechende Produkte mit Kabelmanagement zu bieten. Heute betrachten wir daher das CM 1000W näher, welches optisch identisch, technisch aber etwas anders als die kleineren Versionen ist.
