With the rather recent appearance of 80 Plus Titanium certified power supply units in the market (some of which rated up to 1500W) hardcore overclockers and enthusiasts alike have found yet another reason to reach deep down their pockets for a brand new and rather costly upgrade. For good or bad the ultra-high-end power supplies cost quite a bit and in the end are mostly suited for use with really power hungry systems so casual consumers have really almost no need for something like that. On the other hand 80 Plus Bronze and Silver power supplies are far more affordable, feature quality components, come in both low and high power outputs and offer very good performance levels. For the past 2 days one such solution has been lying on our test bench, the Pure Power L8 700W (L8-700W) PSU by be quiet!

Lange Zeit war es relativ ruhig um den Netzteilriesen Seasonic, auch wenn sie sich dank des OEM Geschäftes und natürlich der Produktion für andere Firmen sicherlich nicht über mangelnde Auslastungen beklagen dürften. Aber jetzt nahen endlich die lange angekündigten Highlights, neue Netzteile mit DC-to-DC Technik samt Polymer-Aluminium-Kondensatoren, wobei die neue M12D Serie mit vorläufig zwei Varianten (750 und 850 Watt) an den Start gehen wird. Wir haben uns für das M12D mit 850 Watt entschieden, damit wir unser Crossfire System weiter ans Limit treiben können, denn mit einem Office System wäre so ein Netzteil nicht mal ansatzweise auszulasten.

This is the first point-n-shoot camera that I have worked with extensively in about three years as I have been using a DSLR exclusively. Before that, I owned a few Nikon and Olympus point-n-shoot cameras and have had some brief shooting time with a Canon and Kodak camera in the past year or so, neither of which I was terribly impressed with. Of course, it would be foolish to think the FX150 would outperform the DSLR so I won't exactly be comparing the two side by side here today. I have, however, been looking for a nice point-n-shoot unit to carry around with me at all times and I aim to find out if the FX150 is a worthy contender in that category.
