Power Supply
The Golden Steel Power is an 80 Plus Gold power supply series from Sentey, featuring a modular cabling system, resonant switching, synchronous rectification, and DC-DC design, coming with a terrific price tag for the features offered. Let's see if the 850 W model is a good option.
Power Supply
Sentey may be a new name, but they’re one I’m definitely hoping will stick around. We’re getting a bit too comfortable here in the world of power supplies. We see many of the same names over and over again and were Sentey to keep pushing out units like the Golden Steel Power, I feel they’d help make things interesting, at least for a while. I for one am convinced and sold on the Golden Steel Power 1000W.

Seasonic is releasing the third generation of their power supplies with the 80 Plus Gold certification, dubbed the X-Series KM3. Lets take an in-depth look at the 650 W version of this new generation, which comes with a fully modular cabling system and a single +12 V rail.

Today Seasonic release the next PSU in their X-Series range, the X-400FL which aims to bring the same exceptional quality and performance to a new market segment. We have one of the first samples on our test bench so let's find out if it meets our expectations.

Recently we analysed the Seasonic X-Series 1250W power supply aimed at the ultra high end enthusiast market. Today we supplement that review with a look at the more cost efficient X-Series 850W model, priced around the £150 mark. This is a fully modular design which has achieved 80 Plus Gold Certification.
Power Supply
Seasonic have been consistently releasing some of the finest power supplies for the enthusiast audience this year. This is the reason why their designs are often used by respected companies such as Corsair and BeQuiet! Part of the Seasonic strategy is always to keep an active refresh schedule in place. With this in mind we are analysing their latest KM3 850W model today, the replacement for the award winning KM2 which we reviewed back in September.
Power Supply
Originally released with 650 W and 750 W versions, Seasonic expanded their 80 Plus Gold X-Series to include 560 W, 660 W, 760 W and 850 W versions. Let's take an in-depth look at highest-wattage model.
Power Supply
The Seasonic X-Series brings the 80 Plus Gold certification and a full modular cabling system. It was the first power supply series where the DC-DC converter was installed on the same printed circuit board as the modular cabling system. We've already reviewed the 560 W, 650 W, and 850 W models, and they all got great results. Let's see if the X-Series 750 W is also a winner.
Power Supply
Over the last couple of months we have looked at the excellent X-Series 850W and 1250W power supplies – they both earned our highest awards. Today we look at the more affordable 660W version, a modular design which has achieved 80 Plus Gold Certification. This range of power supplies has proven popular with the enthusiast audience as they are a ‘no-compromise’ design incorporating high grade Japanese capacitors and class leading standards of build quality.
