Today we are going to have a look at one of the latest additions to the HX series, Corsair’s high performance series of power supplies which are aimed towards demanding enthusiasts, the HX650W unit. The specifications of the HX650W are considerably superior to those of its 620W counterpart and it also comes with an 80Plus Bronze certification and a 7 year long warranty. Read on to find out how well the latest addition to the HX series can perform.

The 80 Plus certification for power supplies is around for a while, but recently they created three additional classes: Gold, Silver and Bronze. Learn what they really mean. Updated to include the new Platinum certification.

The Tiger 1200W not only performs well, but it has the looks and features to match. The unit is quiet, only when the temperature hits the mid 50 degree Celsius range and fully loaded does the fan really spin up, but even then it is bearable, and by no means loud. The finish on the power supply is also great, the cables also great and I have to say, despite the added bulk of XLR type connectors, I have to say I am a fan of them.

For this review I will be looking at a power supply from a company that must admit I am unfamiliar with and that company is Nesteq and the power supply under review is the Nesteq ASM Xzero 600w. The ASM Xzero 600w comes to us via our friends at Quiet PC so I have every faith that it is nothing but a very high quality item.

XFX may be a newcomer on the power supply market, but so far the other two models from them we reviewed, 650 W XXX Edition and 850 W Black Edition proved to be outstanding products. Let's see if their latest model, 750 W Black Edition, follows the same path.

Quite some time ago we were kindly given the chance to review the OCZ Fatal1ty 700 Watt. Today, OCZ have kindly let us take a look at the 600W ModXStream Pro. Will this 600W Modular power supply perform to the standards of the other units we’ve tested? Time to find out…

Ist unser heutiger Testkandidat be quiet! Dark Power Pro P8-750W vielleicht der optimale Kompromiss?

This 750 W power supply from Coolmax can be found on Newegg.com for only USD 60, a price way below the one from good 750 W units we've already reviewed. Let's see if you can save money buying this unit or if it is better to stick with a product from a different brand.

Sparkle Computer Corp, the same company that has manufactured nVidia-based video cards for many years, is now branching into the power supply market and looking to make a big splash doing so. For review today we have one of their new Gold Class power supplies in the 1250W variety. The Gold Class gets its name in part due to the 80Plus Gold rating, reserved for those power supplies exceeding 90%+ efficiency. Couple that with six +12V rails rated for 20A each and you've got a 120A claimed peak load handling capability, that's a whopping 1440W!

It is odd to see an OCZ power supply unit priced as if it's a bottom of the barrel type power supply, but here we have it, the ModXStream Pro 500W available for about $60 dollars holds quite well against the bigger, more expensive players out there. The unit stayed well within defined ATX specifications and given the price, the ModXStream Pro is definitely an attractive unit worth considering.
