SilverStone has released a completely fanless 400 W power supply, thus producing absolutely no noise, using a high-end design. Can it survive our tests? Let's see.

One of the unique design traits to SilverStone's modular power supplies is that they're fully modular. Where as most manufacturers will hard wire the mandatory cables, usually the motherboard, EPS/ATX and one PCIE connector, SilverStone has opted to make even those cables removable. Their reasoning behind this design choice is well justified though; they have a variety of after market cable options that can do everything from giving you short cables for small form factor cases, or premium looking cables for enthusiasts with windowed cases. Today I have the PP06 cables here which have each individual wire (not wire strand, but wire) sleeved in a premium quality material mesh sleeving. The PP06 cables look great at first glance and are bound to add some flashy looks to your case, so let's check them out!

While I'm sure many of you love our big, in-depth technical reviews of hardcore graphics cards, extreme cooling solutions, gaming systems and more, I personally think it's great to slow down and take a look at some of the finer details of system building, the finishing touches and the visual treats that can really complete your system. The Silverstone PP07 cables are just one of those type of components and if you love to get a clean-looking finish on your system, while also adding some practicality of extending your PSU cables then these could be the ideal product for you.
Silverstone have a great reputation for aftermarket solutions with their power supplies and cooling products and the PP07 are just the latest edition to their collection and I would expect they carry the same high level of quality that can be found across the entire Silverstone product range.

Analizziamolo insieme dunque, buona lettura!

As overclockers we often look at the highest capacity PSUs for our systems, not because we need them but because we want to make sure everything we run has adequate power. 80+ Gold edition PSUs deliver on those desires and do so with less heat, better overall efficiency and in some cases, peak loading conditions above the rated power specs.

Looking to reach the users who need lower wattage models, which is starting to account for a lot of PC builders as our components become more and more energy efficient, Silverstone has recently revamped their Strider Gold lineup, which previously only had a 1000W model, to now include 550W and 650W models. On my bench here today I have the 550W ST55F-G model.
