Earlier this month we had the opportunity to visit AMD's Austin, Texas headquarters to preview their upcoming 'Brazos' development platform and actually got some hands-on testing with a Fusion APU system prior to its launch. Today, we bring you performance numbers on the 18W TDP Zacate APU called the E-350. At 1.60GHz this dual core processor might just impress you!

Today we are reviewing two of the latest CPU offerings from AMD, the Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition (3.5 GHz) and Phenom II X6 1075T (3.0 GHz). Check it out.

For the first round of releases the Sandy Bridge CPU will be 32nm and fit into the 1155 socket (yes, a new socket) on the desktop. Each of these (including the Core i7 variants) will have an integrated graphics processor capable of running at up to 1350MHz (when needed, and using a form of Turbo Technology). Due to a linking of all the parts in the CPU, the BCLK will be locked to 100MHz, but there will be certain K variants that will allow you to overclock by changing the multiplier.

Today we check out the Athlon II X3 450 and answer the question "Is there a benefit to the triple core over a traditional dual core processor?" The answer might surprise you. With a price premium of a mere ten bucks over its dual core brother we show you what you get for that extra $10.

With the release of the Deneb based quad core processors known as the Phenom II series, AMD started to grab a nice share of the mid-range and higher market share by offering quad-core processors for quite a bit less than the competition. Back in June of 2009, Benchmark Reviews was there when AMD started a new trend with Deneb based processors that didn't quite meet the rigorous standards of testing on all four cores. Rather than tossing the processors that had two or three cores that still functioned perfectly, AMD decided to turn off the bad cores and release them as much less expensive dual and triple-core processors. The dual-core versions got a couple of extra perks as well. For one, the price was enticing at $99. For another, the processors were Black Editions, meaning they had unlocked multipliers for easier overclocking. The first black edition dual-core Phenom-II to hit the market was the X2-550BE. Just over a year later and 200MHz faste! r, AMD is releasing the Phenom-II X2-560BE at 3.3GHz with the same promise, to give would-be overclockers and enthusiasts the opportunity to toy around without spending a bundle. In this article, Benchmark Reviews is bringing you the details on the X2-560BE. The new dual-core's unlocked multiplier will be pushed to the limit and we will see how it measures up to the competition.

The Core i3 is a CPU series manufactured by Intel aimed to value computers. It is the third Intel processor with an integrated memory controller (the Core i7 and Core i5 were the first two). Core i3 processors are based on the Core architecture, like the Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad CPUs, but with several enhancements to increase performance (Nehalem microarchitecture). This CPU family is available in three different sockets, LGA1156 (for desktop computers), BGA1288, and PGA988 (for laptops).

AMD has released a full line of new processors on September, 21st 2010 which filled the a few spots in the AMD Processor line. One of these processors is the Athlon II 265 X2 which runs at 3.3GHz. The Athlon II 265 has an L2 Cache to the total of 1MB per core (total of 2MB of L2 Cache) to give a bump in speed over previous Athlon II processors
