The Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz quad-core processor is a very fast and affordable desktop processor from the second you pull it out of the box. This Intel LGA 1366 processor runs at 3.33GHz when in Turbo Mode, has 8 MB of cache and has gobs of bandwidth thanks to the QuickPath Interconnect (QPI). Read on to see how the Intel Core i7-950 processor does against other CPUs from AMD and Intel!

Today we are reviewing the fastest six-core CPU offered by AMD, the Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition (3.3 GHz), which was released yesterday. Check it out.

AMD is wringing every last drop of performance out of the current AM3 architecture, offering frequent speed bumps and price drops as they introduce CPUs that grow ever closer to the theoretical ideal of the Thuban design. Their latest shot across Intel's bow is the Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition. This six core monster aims at the high performance and gaming crowd. Is the Phenom 1100T worth a place at the center of your gaming rig? Read our review to find out.

We saw back in September AMD released six new CPUs to add to their product mix. Today AMD is showcasing three new processors, including a new flagship model, the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition. The other two processors are a Phenom II X2 565 Black Edition, and an Athlon II X3 455. All three of these processors are simply 100 MHz speed-bumps over previous top-end models.
CPU
The war between Intel and AMD has been heating up, but just not in the way that we traditionally think. For many the war is all about the GHz (or the speed) of the CPUs. For the most part this is true, but it is also about bang for the buck. This is a message that AMD is more than comfortable sending to the market. In fact, it is one they have been giving ever since the days of the K6-2 CPUs.
CPU
While enthusiasts await AMD's next-generation "Bulldozer"-based desktop CPUs, AMD continues to expand their current desktop CPU line, introducing the Phenom-II X6-1100T processor. The 6-core Phenom-II X6-1100T takes over the top spot in AMD's CPU line from the 1090T, and does it at a suggested retail price of only $265.00. The clock speed improvements over the 1090T are minimal: both the standard and Turbo Core speeds increase only 100MHz, to 3.3GHz and 3.7GHz, respectively. Benchmark Reviews tests the new 1100T against a collection of Intel and AMD processors in gaming and computing performance.

AMD however, have been releasing more and more CPU's onto the market, especially with the X6 range of Phenom II's with the flagship being the 1090T clocked to 3.2GHz and a turbo speed of 3.6GHz all for around the £190 mark.
CPU
