The new Samsung ES8000 is the first television that can be controlled with speech commands and hand gestures. While there is room for improvement in the implementation, it does indicate the direction in which (high-end) televisions will go in the coming years. When you're not in the mood for chatting with your TV or waving your fist at it, you can always fall back on the traditional remote that Samsung fortunately also included.
