Description
During a press event on Friday, September 28 in Amsterdam, Research in Motion showcased their new operating system called BlackBerry 10. Hardware.Info attended the event and went hands-on with the new OS. The first smartphones to be equipped with BlackBerry 10 will arrive in the first quarter of 2013. Something RIM is excited about on the new OS is what it calls BlackBerry Hub, which displays all of your communication. You can access it with a single swipe. To facilitate multi-tasting, RIM has spent a lot of time on what they call BlackBerry Flow which makes it possible to switch between apps smoothly without having to exit the app. For example, if you notice a new email arriving, by moving your thumb from left to right you can have a quick look. If it's nothing important, you can just keep working inside the app you were in.
