Samsung's long-awaited Galaxy S3 smartphone is finally available this week, and the successor to the Galaxy S and Galaxy S II certainly has its work cut out for it. It will be interesting to see whether it can equal the impressive sales numbers of its predecessors, at a moment when competitors like HTC and Sony have launched very appealing products of their own. Whether the Galaxy S3 will be the success story Samsung is hoping for is difficult to predict, although the rumours about the number of pre-orders do point in that direction.
