| With the Dark Rock 2, BeQuiet! shows quite a good cooler. In terms of cooling capacity the Dark Rock 2 is able to compete with a Noctua NH-U12P. In this regard we have to say that the competition is very hard because we've tested only high-end coolers so far. But it's not only the performance that matters, the build quality for example is excellent and we also like this coolers looks. | - Black nickel plated | ||

| The installation process is easy and you can mount the cooler quickly. Nevertheless we didn't want to install it without consulting the manual. During our tests we used the fan, which is included in delivery. What you get is a 135 millimeter fan which is PWM driven. If you drive the fan at 7 Volt you can't hear it anymore and at 12 Volt it can be described as audible. In the end performance at higher rotation speed was better then at lower rotation speed, when compared to the competition. We think this is because the fins are quite densely packed and the heatpipes are arranged in a way that they cause more vortex. Therefore a higher airflow is needed to reach good cooling results. |

| If you're looking for a very well built CPU cooler, which looks nice and isn't too big, then you're not doing anything wrong when you go for the Dark Rock 2 from BeQuiet!. |
