Conclusion

The In Win 509 is a full-tower designed for those who wish to have a stylish case built from premium materials. Despite initial concerns about the internal layout, we have to admit that the arrangement of the 509 is absolutely brilliant. Despite the missing cooling area on the top of the case, we believe this is not a issue at all since for that purpose the 509 offers a lot of space in the front. In addition we really like the two different places for HDDs and SSDs; usually when you want install big watercooling gear you have to remove all HDD cages. With this model In Win managed to save some space in the top of the case for a couple of HDDs. This way, even with an extreme watercooling setup you will be able to use a couple of HDDs without any issues. Since the In Win 509 is compatible with E-ATX motherboards, it's safe to say that power-users will choose M.2 or PCI-e SSDs in order to save extra space and get more perfomance.

Thanks to the huge size of the chassis, it's reasonable to assume that there is enough space for all kinds of components. The cable management is not perfect to us. We would like the case to be a few millimeters wider so there is more space on the backside of the motherboard tray. In addition we didn't like wiring the CPU EPS cable since there simply isn't enough space. Regarding the design, the black metal panels paired with the tempered glass panels ensure great looks. Apart from that there is RGB lighting built into the front.

Despite the fact that the In Win 509 is a premium case made of high quality materials such as tempered glass, the price is still quite reasonable. Apart from the great looking design there is good airflow as well as an interesting number of features. The In Win 509 is available for 179 Euros and receives 4 stars out of 5.
