Layout and I/O

The ASRock X58 Super Computer comes covered in brown color. You get a solid 8 + 1 + 1 phase current supply (eight phases for the CPU, one phase for memory and one for the northbridge).

Graphic cards can be mounted in four PCIe 2.0 graphic interfaces (A) which support Triple-SLI as well as CrossFireX.

The layout is clearly arranged and there is plenty of space to install even the biggest air coolers available without encountering problems. Regarding the layout there are two little drawbacks. First there is the suboptimal positioning of the fan connectors (B) and second the also not so well places floppy connector.

As capacitors ASRock Japanese parts on the motherboard which should a very high reliability and therefore a long life span.

North- and southbridge as well as voltage converters are hold at adequate temperatures via a passiv Heatpipe (E) cooling solution. Fortunately there is still enough space around the CPU socket to install even todays biggest air coolers.

With its 90 degree angled SATA (B) connectors ASRock lets the you arrange its cables neatly.
