With the Silver Arrow SB-E, Thermalright really shows a remarkable cooler. In terms of cooling capacity this cooler has been able to quite easily keep up with the the other really powerful coolers we've tested so far. It's not only the performance that is on a very high level, also the build qulity of the Silver Arrow SB-E is excellent. We very much like it when manufacturers also have an eye for details. We're talking about the cap pieces for the heatpipes. With them a cooler just looks much better. | -

Installation | + | - | |
The installation process is easy and you can mount the cooler quickly. Nevertheless we didn't want to install it without consulting the manual. Another thing which is important to us is the fact that this cooler is compatible with all recent sockets from Intel and AMD. | - Easy and robust - Compatible with Intel and AMD sockets | ||

During our tests we used the fans, which were included in delivery. What you get is a 150 millimeter and a 140 millimeter fan. If you drive both fans at 7 Volt you can barely hear them and at 12 Volt they can be described as audible. In the end performance at 7 Volt was absolutely excellent since the Silver Arrow managed to set a new record. At 12 Volt this cooler comes in third in our comparison lists. |
