Wearing confort and ergonomics

Even after hours of wearing the Vengeance 2000, there is no sign of pain. In fact the headset is very comfortable. Because the earpads are very big the Vengeance 2000 can be used by wearer of glasses without giving any pressure marks. Furthermore the earpads are made of leather or cloth. You also get quite decent noise isolation with the headset on, which lets you better focus on a game. Another feature is that the ear pieces can be turned 90 degree to the left as well as 90 degree to the right. This offers two advantages: first the ear pieces are always perfectly on your head and second transportation is a bit safer. The microphone is attached to the left side of the headset and it comes with an inflexible bail which has been equipped with noise cancelling. The mic is also very tough and therefore it will withstand quite a lot.

Software

After downloading the software from Corsairs website and then installing it you will see a well structured and clearly arranged software interface. To be honest this is quite surprising for a gaming headset. Normally you get some kind of spaceship or zombie design where you have to guess where the settings are you're looking for. Another exception are the predefined equalizer profiles. It looks like Corsair acually eployed engineers that have "proper ears". We have to admit that there are some rather good profile you can choose from. The reason why we write in such a cynic way is that most gaming headsets come with very strange settings. They are everything but not linear and manufacturers product marketing claims that their strange setting help you hear more of the important details. In our opinion this was never the case. Therefore we're happy that Corsair succeeded in including reference settings in their software.
