Conclusion
Regarding their
HyperX T1 Dual Channel DDR3 CL 12-14-14-32 1T Modules with 2800 MHz, Kingston succeeded in putting together
a high performance memory kit, that is able operate perfectly well within the
specs. When driving the timings mentioned in the specs it was even possible to
lower the voltage. Also the
manufacturing quality and the looks of these modules has been able to convince.
We like the rather simple design these modules ship with.
As we can see from
our graphs Kingstons HyperX T1 2800 MHz CL-12-14-14-32 2T memory
kit has been made for very high clock frequencies. Therefore Kingston did
a good job selecting the chips for those modules.
With CL11-13-13-30 2T we've benn able to reach 1385 MHz with the voltage at 1.80
Volt. With the timings increased
to CL12-14-14-32 2T it's been possible to reach 1400 MHz. In case we needed to
provide 1.55 Volt to the memory which is 0.1 Volt less then what Kingston
recommends in the specs. It has also been interesting to see that these modules
scale very well with voltage. Furthermore we have to say, that at 1400 MHz the
IMC of our test CPU has been maxed out. We're sure that these modules offer some
more overclocking potential when combined with a cherry picked CPU.
We generally recommend this memory kit to gamers as
well as overclockers who are looking for an extremely fast memory kit
