Conclusion

Regarding their Ballistix Elite Quad Channel DDR3 CL 9-11-9-27 1T Modules, Crucuial succeeded in putting together a very good memory kit. Also the manufacturing quality and the looks of these modules has been able to convice. Therefore we like the rather simple design which is being kept in black with a the product name in silver.
As we can see from our graphs Crucials Ballistix Elite Quad Channel 2000 MHz CL-9-11-9-27 1T memory kit allows high clock frequencies as well as aggressive timings at voltages below the manufacturers specifications. Therefore Crucial did a good job selecting the chips they've actually been putting onto these DIMMs. With CL9-11-9-27 1T we've benn able to reach 1075 MHz. With the timings increased to CL11-12-11-27 2T it's been possible to reach 1204 MHz. In both cases the DIMMs needed 1.80 Volt.
We generally recommend this memory kit to gamers as well as overclockers who want to get a memory kit which performs above average and is available at an attractive price point.
