Chassis / Design / Build quality

Already at a first glance one can see that with the UX21E, ASUS has a very high quality Ultrabook in its portfolio. The design is plain and simple and very pleasing. ASUS has understood how to combine aluminium and plastic in a clever way, that in the end, it generates an attractive and homogenous overall picture, whereas the chassis is made from aluminium and the keyboard from plastic. Furhtermore the case is also very stable and offers a high level of stiffness. A closer look at the displays hinge-joints reveals that they're made of aluminium too which guarantees a long lifespan. These connection pieces also prevent annoying lupping of the display. What makes Ultrabooks absolutely perfect to be carried around is there very low weight. The product only weighs 1.1 kilogram.

Simple and with a certain amount of understatement, that's how ASUS puts this notebooks expansion ports in place. Although we have to mention at this place, that the UX21E only comes with a minimum. There is one USB2.0 and a USB3.0 port. Next to these ports one can find a mini VGA as well as a micro HDMI connector.
